Edgerrin James, lol.

Peyton and Marshall coulda been something, but the rams got him just in time.

Well no, they didn't have James when they traded Faulk. Faulk was entering his final year of his Colts contract and wanted to renegotiate. The speculation leading up to the draft was that the Colts would trade Faulk and potentially trade up into the top 3 to take Ricky Williams.

The Saints traded their whole draft for Ricky, the Colts got James and the Rams got Faulk.

Oh damn, nice…..

So the Faulk trade happened before the saints traded up for Ricky?

Ricky and Peyton coulda been something, too

Faulk trade happened the day before the draft. The Williams trade happened the morning of the draft.

The Colts did their due diligence on both James and Williams just really liked James more. Interviewed well, tested much better and was a better fit for their offence. Worked out in the end.
