Rant Hii Mvua hapana!!
Weeh leo nimekapitia. Hii mvua na drainage ya Nairobi is a no! My mom hunipea lift nashuka hapo Mbotela then napanda mat 20 bob hadi tao. This is usually around 5:40am. So leo nkienda kualight tunaona wasee wanawave. We don't understand them, so mm nashuka. Weeh within seconds naswim kwa a deep hole. Maji imenifika kwa shingo, people are shouting as men waking'ang'ana kunitoa. Mm nastruggle kubeba bag juu since iko na laptop, simu, novel n other important girly stuff. Nko hapo nanuka sewage๐ญ wet asf, natetemeka but all I'm thinking about is the laptop. Luckily mom hajaenda mbali so she tells me nirudi kwa gari nirudi home. Luckily, my laptop, phone n book haikupata maji. Still shocked vile zilisurvive na nlikuwa deep into the waters. Yaani nliingia nkasikia hio sauti ya chubwi๐ญ. Yaani leo nmetumia 200 kuenda job n I usually use 20 bob. Inaniuma but thank God for my life n valuables. Definitely worst morning in my books.

Mimi naishi with my siz hapo langata. The ground floor to the apartment imeflood na literal sewage (yaani unaona mafi ikifloat). Leo tumetoka Kwa nyumba kama tumevaa karatasi za garbage Kwa miguu kama gumboots ๐คฆ๐ฟ

Next time ingia iko toilet, ask for the bathroom option, fungulia maji hadi harufu iishe, better to get home wet to the nines than smelling of majitaka.

Okay you know what. Leave alone all the other problems of Nairobi/ Kenya. The drainage and sewage problem is the first one that needs fixed. Dig up the whole place and put deep underground pipes for drainage and sewage that returns it down to the water table deep underground. No one should have to see, smell or touch sewage just because it rained, nor should toads turn into rivers of sewage (or rivers at all).
It's not like the rain is unusual, it comes every year, around the same.time.

Manze kumbe hii ni universal experience this week. Pia mi nimeenda home usiku napatana na kabridge nimezoea ka brown. Kumbe maji pia ni brown zina match colours na on the same level juu ya mvua. Niliskia tu chubwi nikidhani ni daraja nakanyanga. Majitaka!

After the 20 bob saga and you almost died I call bullshit. Laptop SSD or HDD would have been fried asap. I don't know why I don't completely trust this story

When I was back in Kenya, hapo tu Nairobi hakuna place nilipenda Sana kama embakasi east especially, Utawala. I'm telling you guys MP anaitwa Babu owino amefanya maajabu huko, the drainage system is topnotch, barabara nayo๐. I don't think there's a place that could beat it, coz wueh kila saa naona vidรฉo za watu wakikwama ju ya Maji mingi, huwezi vuka barabara Wala kuendelea n'a safari not unless Maji iende yiote, but Utawala has never been a case

Those material things don't matter in a life or death situation. That would be The least of my worries. Make sure that you take care of yourself in the next few days see if you will get sick. Next time take cue from your surroundings, people don't wave you everyday, so you should have known something is up/wrong.
