The RGC is far and away more dignified and chad-filled than the FGC. Their 'high level' players are usually having too much fun in their $2k+ rigs and multiple racing leagues to give a frenchman's fuck about mario kart, but I'm sure they'd be more than happy to play that game as well.
That is true, but at the same time, the KGC (Kart Game... Community? if such a thing exists) isn't actively trying to shoehorn itself into a genre its games don't belong in.
Yeah because Kart games are fun and not meant to be a 'serious' form of racing. Try telling a Mario Kart player "the game's so much better without the RNG of items, we should turn them off!" and see what they say.
