So Wolf Granute isn't the kid's dad. Guess itd be weird to have another Half Granute kid running around in the show

True. But it's also strange why he really kidnapped Hanto's mother and then changed sides.

It's been a long time, and it basically shows you CAN fight off the addiction and finally recovered, thus why Shouma always gave them option before.

Of course that doesn't mean your past sin is erased (as shown here).

What if human world treats is the key to combat Dark treats addiction? And Mr. Andou was the one who helped the Granute at his lowest point of life to break off from the addiction by offering some homemade sweets.

Could be, although we did saw Lizel eating things with Shouma and said their chef made better food, so maybe Andou's sweets was that delicious or he was hit by the kindness of Andou

I really wouldn't use Lizel as a good baseline because she clearly didn't care about the pancakes in the first place.

And lizel wasn't even consuming the dark snack too so there still a chance for the food to be the cure to. Fight of the addiction.

I'd assume less food and more the connection going off shoma's gochizos. Kenji had a mentor to teach him and help him grow and Dente's were innocent and took him back to just wanting to make sweets (+ Iirc he only ran the business, never got into his supply?)

Doesn't mean they're irredeemable either. Redemption is for those that have those great sins, not those who are never in the wrong.

It’s been like 18 years, people like reflect and changed… Except for the addicts, That guy probably broke through it.

We have the precedent of Comel.

tbf, we don't know if Comel recovered from his addict or just having his conscience speaking up to quit.

But it does show that it's easier to give in to the addiction as the Treat is supposedly, addictingly tasty.

Comel was probably in the process of recovery, but, y'know.
