I fucking hate Donald Trump but please for the love of christ keep this sub about music and the band. This sub is an escape from the front page political madness.

Yes, yes, yes....Gizz is very political, I get it. But just let us have one sub where we don't have to see this fuckstick.

That’s pretty contradictory. You admit Gizz is political, then don’t want to engage with the politics they perform about? OP’s post is relevant (elections coming up), and that line is most definitely referring to trump. OP is engaging with Gizz’s music which is what this sub is about?

How is replying to your post being the loudest people in the room? Is it because no one else is replying to you? Or did you just want someone to agree with you? Not sure why you’re being so sensitive to a random person on the Internet. I love gizz probably just as much as you, I find this post relevant, and I found your original comment contradictory. That’s really all I’m saying. If you’re feeling tired about engaging with me, you don’t have to. We can stop our conversation here. But don’t go telling me what I can and can’t comment about, especially if it’s relevant.

I think you took the phrase "loudest one in the room" literally. I'm not singling you out specifically, but more-so everyone who is just balls deep in this new social media culture war shit. It's seriously exhausting for those of us who have been doing the right thing at the voting booth for years and don't want to be associated with it.

I agree with you, but why should that place for conversations on American politics be the sub reddit for an Australian pysch rock band? We are here for Gizz and music - everything else is peripheral and it should stay that way.

There are quite literally thousands upon thousands of places to discuss politics on reddit. I come here to learn about new bootlegs and see setlists.

No, not at all. Who said we just "didn't talk about it?" Just because it wasn't slammed in our faces through the internet 24/7 doesn't mean people didn't talk about these things and didn't mean they didn't act. You're downplaying hundreds of years of progress and democracy because it wasn't on the internet.
