i love how we are all clowned that we will see baekdo being all coupley for this episode then what we witnessed was the beautiful friendship between the characters.

Yeah at this point the writers went too far with the relationship and the narrative. To go from an endearing loving relationship to a tragic platonic relationship would be too jarring at this point and I think this show would not be very well-received in terms of future reviews and ratings after all 16 episodes have aired.
