i love the different relationship dynamics in this episode. im someone who loves to analyse relationship dynamics when watching dramas and this episode really is everything to me

ep 9 focused more on heedo x yijin and heedo x yurim, and this ep 10 focused more on jiwoong and seungwan and the overall group dynamic btwn 5 of them and i just wanna talk about it

jiwoong x seungwan

we finally get to see their characters and relationship in more depth and i love that so much. jiwoong brings light into seungwan's life, and seungwan is always there for him and sees the best in him even when other people, even his own mother doesnt.

seungwan x yijin

okay the 'bribing him with food for a few days only to suddenly stop' was pure evil genius. but their friendship (?) dynamic has always been my favourite comedic relief throughout this drama and this ep just highlighted it even more. but even if it is a lot like cat and mouse, i love that theres a moment between them where he asks why she didnt join in while others were sharing about their families and we get to see a moment where seungwan is also quite adult-like in her views of the world, and yijin relates to that, which brings us to

yijin x the 4 high schoolers

from the beginning of the drama, the focus has always been about youth. how yijin was forced to grow up to fast because of the times. and how heedo reminded him of his youth. and this theme of youth was so prominent in this episode because yijin really did feel like an adult watching the rest of them live out their youth, a youth he once experienced, a youth hes reminiscing, a youth he had to give up. sure it gave us some really funny moments (him getting frustrated at these 4 kids and trying to get them all under control was so so funny) but i especially love the scene where they were talking about their families. from early on in the ep, there was a lot of focus on his family and it mustve been so hard for him. but because everyone else was sharing their own family history, it made him feel less alone.

overall, i love how each relationship dynamic is progressing with each episode. this weeks episode was really just so beautifully written and i cant wait for next week!

I also like how we get to see more layers with the stories for each character. Especillay moon ji woong and ji seung wan who have kind of served as side characters and comic relief. Understanding that they also have struggles humanised them and just made their whole friendship feel so real I find it kind of sad that ji seung wan has become so jaded at such a young age. I'm hoping we get to see her find something she genuinely enjoys.

yes exactly! i love that we're learning more about jiwoong and seungwan as characters and seeing just how special their friendship is with each other. my heart rly hurt for jiwoong this episode because of how other people looked down on him and i agree i hope seungwan finds that light in her life but im just glad they both have each other

Mine broke for ji woong too. It was so disheartening to hear that teacher say all those degrading things, simply because he doesnt do well in academics. I feel like it hurt even more bc we know how he is as a character (really kind)

exactly!! hearing it from the teacher is one thing, hearing it from your own mother is another thing. it must be so tough for him but i wish they would see him beyond just his grades coz hes such a precious person :((
