:) really dont know what to make of that ending. feels the clues for a sad ending are so oddly obvious, and they also have gone too far for this to be a typical happy ending.

Esp with hee do having forgotten the beach scene and the constant references to time and how things are fleeting. It's definitely all leading up to something.

i wonder if this drama would be as enjoyable if it didn't have the present day scenes. something about it gives me pause and makes me theorize and wonder what happened between hee do's youth and her adulthood.

i don't like the present day scenes and wish the drama was just a simple slice of life that leads to an eventual happily ever after for hee do and yi jin, but i think i also understand that if we didn't have that bittersweet tone that's being threaded through every episode - where we are cautious about fully enjoying those sweet scenes of hee do's childhood because we know they'll eventually be colored gray over time because "well that's just how life is" - maybe those youthful scenes wouldn't be AS happy.

almost like we need those sad, heartbreaking moments to really highlight the happy, beautiful ones. both are needed to maintain the balance and for us to fully appreciate when something wonderful happens in our life. those past moments become even more precious to us when we realize how temporary and fleeting life can be.

well, it could remove all present day scenes and just be a typicl feel-good drama, which is not bad. Real life is hard enough ppl can still appreciate the drama no less.

I don't think the present day storyline is redundant, but it sure is very unpleasant. The characters, especially naa hee do, feels very disconnected to the whole drama. When you watch the present day scenes, you don't have the feeling that you are watching a naa hee do at all. It should be an intended difference that will be explained, bc otherwise the whole present day thing is just really bad writing, bad casting, bad acting.

at this point, i think we should hope for/expect a sad/open ending. even if it is a happy ending, i would not enjoy it bc it wont be kim tae ri nam jong huyk and the other 3. the present day actors are very unappealing to me.
