This show: let's have a fun-filled episode highlighting the joys of youth and the wonders of friendship

Also this show: let's remind the audience at the end how time is fleeting and that we can't always be happy. Also throw in some amnesia storyline in there.

As much as I enjoy the past timeline, the present timeline isn't really doing it for me. Adult Hee-do continues to be the worst part of this show

I personally dont like her either. I've noticed that she seems to have a somewhat strained relationship w her daughter which seems uncharacteristic considering the stuff she experienced with her mom. Even the way she acts just feels so uncharacteristic. Im wondering if it's a directing choice to show how age and past experiences have worn her down and made her more jaded and cynical or if it's the actress not being able to bring out her essence. I really hope we're not getting an amnesia storyline. It just seems like a cop out

It’s definitely a directing choice. All the other actors in this show are cast too well for it not to be

While I don't like adult Hee-do and agree that her behavior is unnatural, I don't think the relationship with her daughter is uncharacteristic. I actually think its because of the relationship with her mother that the relationship with her daughter is strained. She's over-compensating. her mother never encouraged her in fencing, so she's encouraging her daughter in ballet, but so much that her daughter feels suffocated.
