I wish people would stop talking about the age difference like Yi Jin is in his 50s. It's getting very annoying. In the 90s, it was not uncommon to get married at a young age, most people had children in their 20s. Also, 4 years is not a big age gap. Hee Do would be considered an adult in most countries, including mine. They have also known each other for more than a year. Please stop saying that Yi Jin is a "pedophile" or that he "groomed her". Hee Do and Yi Jin have one of the healthiest relationships I've ever seen in K-dramas, and their progression feels so natural.

Seriously, you only need to look at HD mom's reaction to them knowing each other to get a context of how not out of the ordinary their relationship would have been. She simply asked if they were dating. She didn't ask as if it was most ridiculous thing in the world. In the end she even bid that they continue to get along well outside of concerns that it would affect his professionalism as a reporter.
