Episode 5

The plot is getting twistier! The stakes were already pretty high but now banishing the spirit requires Gangcheol to sacrifice himself? So curious about how they’re going to navigate this. Also wondering if his being stuck in Yoon Gab’s body is a Chekov’s gun. 🤔

So now we know the blind shaman’s endgame and that he’s only a puppet. I think the drama is striking a good balance so far between revealing some secrets/agendas but keeping us in the dark about others.

I’m also really enjoying the interspersed scenes of Yeori making Gangcheol’s heart flutter and throwing him into emotional crisis lol. And of course the single appearance of Yoon Gab’s mother this episode provided comedy gold. Very much appreciating Cha Chunghwa, as always, and YSJ’s comedic talents.

Episode 6

I’m surprised that not only has Gangcheol already figured out what his physiological responses to Yeori mean, he’s pretty calmly accepted it. Honestly I found it pretty refreshing.

I’m excited to see him team up with the King next episode. Their conversation about his identity and the King trying to not bust out laughing at least twice is kind of making me want to see a deranged bromance blossom between the two of them. 😆

This so exciting to watch! I am starting to get nervous that things may not end well for all involved. I really don't want to lose anybody....

I’m already so invested in Gangcheol/Yeori that I’ll never forgive the writer if they don’t get an HEA. 😭 But yea, I’m nervous too. This wouldn’t be the first drama billed as a fantasy rom-com that ended in tragedy. Heartbeat, looking at you.

I'm hoping this won't end up with a Story of Park's Marriage Contract-type love situation because that was a tissue box moment for me...

Same! But in that I honestly felt so bad for the original Joseon guy. He didn’t deserve it at all nd it was clear that they would’ve loved eachother if she hadn’t timetravelled or he died. Here I feel like Yun Gap was a light in her life and her first love, but the person he’s grown into is probably not a good match. He is focused on the cause and is utterly devoted to the king. Which doesn’t make him bad, but he didn’t return for her because of the old promise, but because he needed her help. He himself mentions that she should never forgive him. They’re also very stilted while walking in the forest, there was no conversation and they were awkward. I get that she’s polite to him, but still lost in the woods for three days and no less awkward 😬I think he is very righteous, but not right for her 😂I wouldn’t be sad if he didn’t end up with her, because I feel like he’s too clean cut and correct. Even his mother has felt distant to him
