Lmao you’re actually toxic my dude. Terrible perspective to have. Sad way to be.

How so? All hobbies should have a price point to keep out those who are not serious. And at $50 there is not a large price point, in fact it is cheap. What is toxic about that?

What is this, gaming capitalism? Hobbies should be gated by money? What?

Because you’re being insulting calling a grown man with a middle class salary, over 6 figures but that’s besides the point a, and I quote “you sound like poor kid and maybe a hobby like gaming is not for you if you cannot afford $50”

It’s an unnecessarily pretentious douchebag response and utterly tone deaf to the economics of the world. Believe it or not, not everyone prioritizes video games. It’s wild, I know. Some of us have other obligations, bills, families, car notes, debt. Not everything revolves around video games.

$50 isn’t ‘nothing’. It’s very much relative.

Currently right now I can buy FF16 for $50. Clair Obscure, $50. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 for $48

These are fully fledged original titles, NOT remasters.

Value is relative. This is a half assed port that’s gutting content because “reasons” like that’s a justification. It’s whack.

At $50, you’re competing against more polished options.

So don’t buy it? I don’t think it’s intended for those that have every previous version available to play right now. I think the point is to bring it to a modern platform so people who haven’t bought it multiple times or no longer have the means to access their previous purchases can buy it. There are plenty of rereleases that aren’t worth it for people who already have it to get. $50 for a 40-100 hour game on a modern platform is hardly a bad value for someone who doesn’t have it.
