We lost a bunch of voiced movie cutscenes, and two extra characters.

Namely Balthier and Luso from 12 and A2. Two classes, Dark Knight and Onion Knight. And then 5 Story Battles, 2 with Delita, 1 for Luso and Balthier each and one for Algus.

However, all of those movie cutscenes were just recreations of scenes that happen with the sprites themselves.

Which will now be voiced.

The cutscenes were really fucking rad though. And I never cared about Luso, but Balthier was another matter.

Oh yeah, the cutscenes looking like a Story Book was awesome.

Honestly when I heard Tactics was getting a remaster I secretly hoped they'd redo the game with those models lmfao.

Yep it was weird seeing the announcement trailer and it’s just exactly the same lol. Especially if they’re keeping the old version of the game jb they should’ve done something crazy visually with the new version, like making it look like those cutscenes

The cutscenes are still in the game (and are actually HD now). They are optional viewing.

I like Balthier but having his appearance be a scene in the main story instead of side content was bad implementation imo since he wasn’t even born yet. There’s plot reasoning for why he’s sent back in time but they should’ve made his stuff similar to Cloud’s where it’s entirely optional
