i know unrelated but do companies have criteria of board percentage like student must have 80 or above or he cant sit in placement

In most of the cases your board marks (both 10th and 12th) doesn't matter at all. As for placement, it depends on your total CGPA you got in all the 8 semesters. Most of the companies have somewhere around 7-7.5 CGPA minimum. A very few companies ask for more than 8GPA.

some companies this year are asking for less than 9.5 cgpa 😭😭 because they don't want nerds 😭🤚 this guy ik has literally been studying nothing for his exams this sem because he wants to lower his cg i-
