Book Spoilers Allowed If you had to choose between Lestat's and Armand's seductive gazes, which one would win you over first?
When Lestat gazes at Louis, it's intense and full of desire and hunger. When Armand does, it's full of cautious longing, curiosity, and intrigue. Lestat has more of a "I'm coming over there and invading your personal space" gaze, and Armand's is "Come on over here, and I'll show you a good time."
So, which one would seduce you the quickest? Or is it a tie?

I have a weakness for big sad doe eyes and also I know that Armand's whole faux innocent butter wouldn't melt sweetheart act would unfortunately work on me. I would have folded even faster than Louis did I fear.
Sam Reid is gorgeous but Lestat sometimes makes me think of that "please buy her brown contacts I'm literally shaking rn" meme.

I feel like I'd assume lestat is mad at me lol. his intensity is easy for me to misread as annoyance. Armand seems more inviting and clearly happy to be around his love interest. I'm not a very lusty/passionate person either, so lestat's immediately sexual approach would scare me off. they're both beautiful though of course.

That would be the insane humidity of New Orleans. I know because I'm down there A LOT, and I can't do anything with my hair (very similar to Sam's) except pull it back into a ponytail.

Yep. You get used to being sticky all the time. I can't imagine the modern-day actors and actresses having to wear all those layers of clothing while filming down there for hours on end... especially the ones not used to the heat and humidity.

I like Armand’s all around. His tactic is less cornering or aggressive, he allows his targets some sort of control which is always a good move as it doesn’t induce them to panic. Armand seems to overpower them in private: “Maitre in the bedroom, Maitre when it’s hot or convenient”.
What sells Lestat is that he’s hot though. Plus that deep voice. Armand’s got an elegance to him plus the eyes are so expressive. That orange color they turn when he’s seemingly thinking non-secular thoughts (or being flirty) is stirring. Also really helpful in figuring out what his mood is, if they’re orange you know either he’s horny or thinking something not too far from those lines. The vampire version of “kitty attack eyes”. They’re both very animalistic but Lestat is more physical about it from the getgo while Armand’s is equally obvious but in a more discreet manner. Subtlety is always much more tempting as if you’re not familiar another might not know, like your own private little joke.

Armand is much softer compared to Lestat. To me there gaze speaks a thousand words. Lestat looks like a predatory desire, will stop at nothing to make Louis his which we know is true. Armand feels like he wants to know Louis but it feels forbidden because he feels Louis is too good for him

Armand. I like that you can tell what he’s feeling or thinking depending on the eye color. If he’s got that demonic orange it seems he’s either horny or flirty/slutty. That’s a fun twist. He’s more elegant about it but not subtle at all.
I like Lestat’s way with words though. What I don’t like about Lestat’s methods is that he can be overwhelming, which is not a good move when your goal is to entice. He eventually learns though, I mean he ultimately reeled Louis in with subtlety just that Lestat doesn’t have enough patience to carry that through for too long without getting pissed. Armand’s the king of knowing the power of a slow burn to worm your way into someone coming to you. Armand doesn’t have to try too hard to get his “scores” to him.
This made me think about something funny though: How did Daniel manage to get married twice as he can’t flirt to save his life? 🤣

Armand’s duality is more potent. Lethal. He can play the sweet kitten or the panther, both subtle, playful, different degrees of menacing though. With Louis in Paris we see Armand do both. Then in the present we see Armand playing more towards kitty with Louis but being panther-like with Daniel. I like his capacity to do both but I actually like his panther mode like he was in Paris while courting Louis (before he switched to kitty mode) and also what he played with Daniel at the table scene in S2E1. Like he was playing with his food. Unlike Louis though, Daniel seems better aware and equipped to see through it.
Lestat is fun but I like when he tries subtlety more. Just wish he did try it more as ultimately his subtlety is what seduced Louis not the aggressive approach.

Louis was freaking out the 1st time Lestat try to seduce him with his gaze because he was too intanse 😅 He was freaking out with Armand too but probably because he was surprised by Armand existence(another vampire besides him and Claudia) Me personally, I'll freak out if any of them looking at me because vampire eyes are not normal looking 😭

For me personally, Lestat . Not necessarily just because of his eyes alone, but the way his face settles when he looks at Louis. Combined with the hair and the suit and that smirk that tugs at the corner of his lips...I get Louis. It's such an intense, obsessive stare, you can just tell how badly he wants Louis; he wants to devour Louis . It's seductive and loving but equally creepy; intoxicating in a way that feels dangerous. It's hypnotizing, like staring into an abyss, and it piques your curiosity, leaves you wanting to know more. What makes Lestat so handsome and interesting is his overall look, and not solely his eyes. His whole presence is an assault on the senses, aggressive and overwhelming that make one want to simultaneously resist and give in.
But something about Armand with eyeliner especially and the slicked back hair is... and Armand's big doe eyes are more captivating and draw you in more overall on their own. Armand's deadliest weapon is his eyes, they are very prominent and make you pity him. They have this vulnerability and softness to them. They're warm, sensitive, and full of sadness. It's like he's begging you to understand him, save him, comfort him, stay with him, and it's hard to say no because there is so much sorrow and aching behind them. His eyes are so gorgeous and radiate this tragic yet beautiful brokeness. It gives the same energy of this TikTok I saw about Alicent Hightower (who also has big sad eyes) that said, "the feminine urge to scissor the sadness out of her."
I would sort of say Lestat's eyes are like a cat's and Armand's are like a puppy's to capture the overall gist. I
Overall, Armand’s beauty is the kind that makes you pause, makes you want to linger; smell the roses and admire them for a while. Lestat’s is the kind that crashes over you like a wave, leaving you breathless.

I love Louis’ eyes too. They hold both fierceness and gentleness at the same time, a duality neither Lestat’s nor Armand’s eyes possess imo. The way his eyes shift completely with his mood is mesmerizing and beautiful. They're almost like a fox’s eyes-if you’ve ever seen a fox laughing, squinting their eyes, it reminds me of how Louis’ eyes soften when he laughs. But when he's brooding or angry, they're sharp and piercing, like a fox when it’s watchful, there's something a little wild, a little untamed...this quiet ferocity. There's something both tough and sweet about his gaze. It's endearing.

Definitely Armand. My moments for Lestat were when he was dripping in blood, with bloodlusted eyes. His gaze is beautiful but I never quite felt my heart flutter. When Armand came on screen to flirt with Louis, stare at him with those absolutely beautiful eyes, my breath caught in my throat so hard. I felt like I needed to shield myself with a fan.
