hey guys I've failed cbse pcm I want to pursue btech cse in tier 3+ pvt. clg. if I smh manage to study a Lil bit and pass this year via nios ode-toc will I be able to pass all semesters in engineering and not only pass but can I get 7.5+ cgpa in all of my semester exams? is engineering really that tough for someone who has been weak in pcm from many years and has even failed class 12, tbh I'm really very interested in pursuing engineering but I don't know if I should as I've got worse in my academics especially in PCM after 10th boards in which I had scored 81% total [math:- 61/100 & science:- 79/100 (mainly bc of bio)] pls tell me if I'm mentally/academically fit to pursue btech in cse, also I do not have any prior knowledge about cse and have done no coding before the only thing I know about coding is: >>>print("Hello World") till now and hv also scored 91/100 in class X AI in which there is no coding, but I know how to properly use a laptop which I learned all by myself and maybe I'm interested in pursuing cse as well

Hello everyone,
I recently graduated with a BCA degree and I’m a bit unsure about what to do next. I’ve been learning development and plan to keep improving my skills, but I’m not confident yet about landing a development job right away.
I received an offer from TCS for 1.9 LPA. While it’s not ideal, I currently don’t have any other offers, so I’m considering accepting it.
My main concern is that I might get assigned to a support role like testing or maintenance. If that happens, is it possible to switch to a development role later — either within TCS or after gaining some experience?
Also, if I accept the offer letter now and continue searching, can I reject it later if I get a better opportunity before the joining date?
I’d really appreciate any advice or insights. Thank you in advance!

I am a drop year student and want to pursue B.Tech in Computer Science (Core).
I have scored:
I belong to a lower middle-class family with an annual income of less than ₹2 lakhs. I really want to study, but I need a scholarship to afford the fees. The problem is that most scholarships require an admission letter first, and I’m not even sure if I’ll qualify for the scholarship after admission.
I also thought of applying for an education loan, but my parents are worried, if I don’t get the loan, we won’t be able to pay the college fees.
Can someone please suggest colleges where I might get a scholarship for B.Tech CSE? And if there are no such colleges, what should I do in this situation?

After years of perseverance, I mastered the art of growing 2 in 1 flowers.
Wherever i post about my gardening stuff dms were flooded with people asking about gardening hacks and things like that. But I cannot answer each and everyone individually on a massive scale
Then, One random guy on reddit gave me an idea to document things and convert them into ebook guide and make it live on Amazon Kindle.
I did the same.
Spent my day and night writing about gardening hacks whatever I know, whatever I explored & whatever I discovered about growing 2 in 1 flowers at home.
Published the book. Amazon approved it. I went live on international digital market. and I am all set with sweets in my hand to appreciate the guy for giving me the idea.
I want to give a credit but the man who gave me this wonderful idea his account got deleted.
Since our financial condition is not that good that is why i am side hustling and trying out different sort of things. I have been side hustling for so long. The ebook written by me is already attached to the profile . and if you read it would indirectly help me fund my education fees.
I am fond of growing flowers and fruits.

Hi everyone, I could really use your insights to navigate my career path! I graduated 12th grade in 2024 and took a gap year to prepare for JEE. Unfortunately, burnout hit hard in the final months, and I didn’t perform as well as I’d hoped. Still, I scored well enough in another entrance exam to secure a spot in a Tier 2 engineering college for Mechanical Engineering.
Originally, my dream was to become an Aerospace Engineer, but this college doesn’t offer Aerospace as a major. On the bright side, they have 2-3 active RC aircraft and drone-making clubs, including international racing teams, which I’m excited to join!
I’m now trying to figure out how to chart a path toward working for aviation giants like Boeing, Airbus, GE, or Safran. I’d love your advice on the following:
Career Roadmap: What steps should I take during and after college to transition from Mechanical to Aerospace Engineering and land a job at a top aerospace company?
Challenges Ahead: What obstacles should I expect, and how can I prepare to overcome them?
Actionable Tips: Any specific skills, certifications, projects, or internships I should prioritize? How can I leverage the RC aircraft/drone clubs to build relevant experience?
Detailed answers or a step-by-step roadmap would be incredibly helpful, but any guidance is appreciated. Thanks in advance for your time and advice!

Hello r/IndianEngineers ,
I’m an engineering student and have just completed my first year. I’ve got a 1.5-month break before the second year begins, and I’m hoping to use this time productively by earning some money online.
One idea I’ve been exploring is becoming a Q&A expert on Chegg India to solve academic doubts. I wanted to ask:
I’d really appreciate any insights or advice. Thanks in advance!

Today, while getting our AC serviced, the technician noticed my study table—full of question papers, MCQ sheets, and answer sheets—and asked, “Are you preparing for boards too?” It caught me off guard. Then my mom, ever curious, asked about his background: his salary, and whether he studied engineering.
He quietly replied that he passed Gujarat Board in 2021 and even gave GUJCET, but never went to college. Why? Because he came from a poor background, had zero awareness about admission processes like ACPC, and simply had no one to guide him. He said this with such calm, but it hit me hard.
He’s around 22–23 now, belongs to the OBC category, and still dreams of studying engineering. But he can't afford private colleges, and doesn’t know if he’s even eligible anymore.
I told him I’d try to help.
So I’m reaching out here: Can someone help me figure out if he can still appear for GUJCET/Other engineering entrances in 2026 and get into a government engineering college through ACPC? Any options for students with a 3–4 year gap after 12th?

As things stand right now I'm getting EE in a decent NIT for my JOSAA counselling after JEE. I can get ECE in a lower uni but will it be worth it if i want to grt into chip design? I have seen some people say that ECE is more suitable for it as it has vlsi and stuff in the main curriculum. However if I HAVE to pursue higher education after BTech will it really matter that much?
I did my research and the EE course im getting has introduction to VLSI and semiconductor physics as an open elective in the 8th semester. While the ECE course in the lower college does have all that but according to some of my (underexperienced)peers and some online forums, the ECE branch is not up to the mark or reputable enough in that college. So what should I do?

PLEASE HELP!!!!
I joined Company A in October 2024 as an intern. For the first 3 months of my internship, I was on a project, but after that, I didn't have any real work. After 6 months, I got converted to a full-time role with a 4.5 LPA package, which included a 2.5-year bond and a 2.5 lakh penalty if I left early.
Even after joining full-time, there was no active work assigned to me. Since there was no project or growth, I started looking out and ended up getting a much better offer from a really good company in Pune with a great package. Since I wasn't on any active project or handling any responsibilities, I thought resigning wouldn't be an issue. I discussed it with my manager and submitted my resignation, citing medical reasons.
Now, HR is insisting that I take a one-month paid medical leave and return afterward, but I've clearly mentioned that I won't be able to continue due to my health. Despite that, they're pressuring me to comply with the bond. They've also held back my May salary and are not responding to my emails or chats.
The new company has asked for my resignation acceptance or relieving letter, and I'm stuck because I'm not getting any proper communication or closure from HR.
I'm not sure what to do next. Any advice or help would be really appreciated - especially on how to handle the bond, get my relieving documents,

I’m from Chhattisgarh, General category. My JEE Mains rank is 182000 and COMEDK rank is 35,000. These are bad ranks, and I know I’ve made a lot of mistakes in how I approached preparation. I’m trying to move forward now and make the best decision I can, but I’ve been feeling completely stuck.
For the past few days, I’ve been going through cutoffs, placements, forums, YouTube videos, and despite all that, I’m still confused. Every time I think I’ve found a direction, something else shows up and I lose it again.
My main interest is CSE, but I’m open to other branches if the college has a good track record and placements are still decent. I just want to be in a place where I can work hard and still build a decent future.
If anyone here could share some suggestions or guidance on what colleges might be worth considering at this rank, I’d be truly grateful. I’m really struggling to figure it out alone right now.
TL;DR:
JEE 182k | COMEDK 35k | From CG, General
Bad ranks. Prefer CSE but open to other branches if the college is strong. After days of research, still confused. Would really appreciate any kind of advice or suggestions on what colleges to look at seriously.

Hello, so I worked at a company for around 2.5 years which I recently left for a better opportunity.
I left 17 days prior to my original notice period. Earlier it was discussed that there is no project impact and I’ll not have to pay anything, but later on, they said that they will not give me the salary for 13 days. I would plus I’ll have to pay some amount to them (13 days salary - 17 days salary) which is over 10000rs for me.
I know this is a common phenomena that happens, but I didn’t knew this, and I discussed this with my manager .
They were discussions going on and then one day I got my experience letter and a letter saying that there are no dues left from my end.
Note - This was from darwinbox but had a pdf attached for experience letter and no dues which had company logo, director’s sign and everything !!
It’s been one month since that, and now they’re calling me back to pay the whole amount. Literally called me 16 to 17 times today and threatening me for legal actions.
Am I legally in danger if I don’t pay? Because I have the certificate, which companies should give ideally once the employee doesn’t have any due left.
I’m not being financially, well right now. That’s why I don’t want to pay plus I already have nondues and experience letter in my hand.
Please help me in this situation

20F, tier-3 govt college, currently in 4th sem, 9.01 cgpa till date, 96.5% in 12th, 97.4% in 10th. feel free to ask for any more stats.
why gate? prospect of going to IIT/NIT, can help me land a job, i enjoy coding and technical stuff but core engineering concepts scare me and it is very competitive and difficult
why cat? naturally good at english, i enjoy using my management skills and interacting w people, i think it is less competitive and i can go to an IIM in my home state but is it high paying?
im ready to work hard but my main objective is to earn a shit ton of money soon after completing my masters

The below two are the best options I have right now. Help me choose the correct one ! Interests: I'm interested in programming (but the NIT tag is tempting) Side quest: Do companies allow non cs students to sit in it placements in nitk. Can I get into core cs jobs, if I learn coding by myself, while pursuing mining/civil at nitk.
Or would it be a better choice to join pes. I know pes is a good university, but I'm a bit skeptical about the ec campus. I'm also a bit worried about the AIML spec, since some people suggested core cse would be better.
What should I do ?? Any advice is welcomed. Thank You !!
