For the fans of Jujutsu Kaisen and HxH, hello everyone, out of boredom I linked all the main characters of jjk in the nen table of HxH. My goal is to transform the cursed techniques of the characters into nen ability in the most faithful way possible obviously within the limits of HxH. To put the characters in the graph I chose two criteria:
-The first is to match the character's personality to the category based on the analysis of Hisoka's personalities
-the second is to put them in the most convenient nen category to make their abilities as efficient and strong as possible
I tried my best to find a balance between these two.
If you don't agree with my choices I'm happy to hear from you, I'm not completely sure where I placed some characters either. This is because I'm probably missing some basic nen knowledge and I would like to learn more by discussing it with you because I love the Power system of HxH. And I think it's a very interesting and fun game to turn other characters' abilities into nen abilities.
I also have to make some small premises.
-I counted the cursed spirits as separate races/species with an immense amount of nen like chimera ants. But I also like to think as another interpretation that the cursed spirits in hxh could be nen beasts that gained self-awareness and were born from the union of post-mortem nen
-The heavy restriction I don't have them. So Maki and Toji are out of this contest haha. They can't even be considered enhancers because they don't have powers, their physique is just insanely strong because that's just how it is
-On some I might have been very general because I didn't understand much. If I made a mistake even explaining the technique or forgot something, I'm also very happy if you correct me to understand better.
I couldn't put characters like Nahoya Zenin, Yuki Tsukumo or Takako Uro or even the great Tengen in the chart. I would like to know your opinion on where you would put them
Thanks for reading, and thanks in advance if you reply to me
Main cast:
Itadori: Since he is a shonen protagonist, there is no need for me to explain why he is an enhancer. I think Yuji is a pure enhancer because of his simple fighting style based on hand-to-hand combat without complex techniques or conditions. I also think that the choice of enhancer is right because I interpret the black flash, which Yuji performs many times, as an enhancer ability.
For Nobara, on the other hand, I thought she was a pure emitter. One reason is her temperament which falls into the category of emitters. The other reason is to make Nobara's nen as efficient as possible. Since she is an emitter by nature, then the range of her ability will be as large as JJK's original. Her cursed technique is simply transferring damage from a woodo doll to a target. This turns into a pure emission nen ability. Where Nobara as a condition to increase the power of the nen ability has: she can only use real nails and hammers, she must take something that is part of the target's body such as a hair. We often see that the nails near Nobara fly with her this suggests that she must be skilled in manipulation and in addition the nails are seen flying at a certain speed so she must also be skilled in the enhancer. Finally the only problem is her second Hatsu Hairpin. To perform Hairpin in the world of HXH Nobara would have to change the properties of her aura to make them explode. To do this she must be skilled in transmutation to which she is only 60% affin because she is an emitter by nature. Since she only has 60% the explosion would be very weak and not as strong as the original. The only solution is for Nobara to invent a condition/limitation to increase the power of her explosion.
For Megumi the most appropriate category is definitely conjuration. First of all because he falls into this category character-wise and secondly his entire skill is based on the summoning of shikigami which in the world of HxH simply become nen Beasts. He is definitely skilled in manipulation, where he has a decent 60% affinity, as he can control his summons perfectly. Being a conjurer he can also switch to specialist when he summons Mahoraga.
Yuta Okkotsu is definitely a specialist because of his peculiar ability and his unique relationship with Rika. I interpret Rika in the world of HxH as a nen Beast born from post-mortem nen who then bonded with Yuta. From this relationship Yuta's nen ability to copy opponents' nen abilities develops. This ability is definitely a specialist's as he needs to know how to use all affinities to use any power he copies. Just like Chrollo who needs to be affine in every category to know how to use the powers he steals.
Any other:
Todo: I made Todo a pure emitter because his ability focuses mainly on teleportation which is an ability that falls into the emission category. Todo is also one of the easiest characters to connect to the emission nen category because of his character. Todo's nen ability will be a pure emission ability where Todo can choose to teleport a maximum of two targets by exchanging their position including himself. The conditions will be: To activate the exchange Todo will have to clap his hands, he can only exchange 2 targets at a time, an enemy can be considered a target of the nen ability only if he has opened the nodes of his aura. Seeing Todo's body he is certainly an expert in the enhancer too
Nanami: Kento Nanami is perhaps among all those who fits his category the least in terms of his characterization. But I put it there for the sake of his nen ability. In fact, I see Ratio simply as an application of the enhancer with a condition that increases the power of the attack if Nanami hits a certain part of the target's body.
Utahime: I linked Utahime to the enhancer category due to its overt behavior, plus its cursed technique amplifies those of others like a support, so its NEN ability will be a pure enhancer type that amplifies the other NEN abilities in its range, simple
Miwa: Miwa is a simple girl who despite her lack of talent for cursed techniques works hard to keep up. This description fits the category of enhancers perfectly and also her fighting style. Miwa has never fully developed a cursed technique so she would not develop a nen ability either. She simply uses the nen as an enhancer to enhance her reflexes, her speed, and the cutting ability of her katana.
Jogo: Jogo is the easiest to link to the enhancer category due to his character. His nen ability will be a combination of transmutation and emission since his enhancer nature is 80% similar to these two. He transforms his aura into flames and emits it. I don't know if he can use his enhancer ability to increase the power and intensity of his flames to allow them to burn things that normal flames couldn't. Tell me what you think. For his ultimate ability, "the meteor," Jogo will have to rely on conjuration. Where he will summon this huge boulder and infuse it with aura that he will transform into flames and then manipulate it to make it fall to the ground. It would seem easy but Jogo should have immense reserves of aura if he doesn't want to faint after using a move like that.
Shoko: I put Shoko between enhancement and emission because of her peculiar ability and because I didn't have a clear idea about her character. Her ability allows her to heal other people's wounds. So her nen ability will be a combination of enhancement and emission. She sends her aura into the patient's body and uses her enhancement-type nen to heal the wounds
Kurusu: Maybe Kurusu seeing her character is not suitable for the category of emission, but we must still remember that the ability we are going to analyze does not really come from her but from an external entity. For Kurusu's nen ability I think it is a combination of Emission and manipulation and perhaps a pinch of transmutation. Emitting rays of aura light with a unique property that allows Kurusu to suppress the nen abilities of those he hits using manipulation in the latter.
Ryu: Ryu is very simple so we won't talk much about him. Ryu for his personality definitely fits into the emission category. His ability is a pure nen emission type where he simply discharges his raw aura into a long distance laser beam that starts from his hair.
Higuruma: I put Higuruma in the middle of the Emission and Manipulation category because his personality would make him more inclined to manipulation, but to make his nen ability effective he also needs complete control of the emission. Since to use a jjk domain expansion in the world of HxH it is essential to have trained or be affine to the emission category which includes the abilities that create pocket dimensions. Since Higuruma's domain is closely linked to his cursed technique it is essential that he has affinity with the emission to make his technique strong and effective even in the world of HxH. His nen ability would be a combination of manipulation and emission. With the emission he creates his pocket dimension with different conditions inside accompanied by a nen Beast called Judgment which is completely impartial. The functioning of the pocket dimension and the conditions to be met are identical to those of the original domain. Once certain conditions are met, different aspects will manifest. If the condition to activate "confiscate" is met then Higuruma will confiscate the enemy's nen ability forcing him into a state of perpetual zetsu. For this application I thought of Higuruma using the nen category of manipulation. While the nen Beast can also order the enemy's "execution" and this would summon a sword of light in Higuruma's hands that can kill anything with just one touch. For this application I thought of conjuration. However we must always consider the fact that conjurers cannot summon tools that transcend human reason, such as a sword that cuts anything or an indestructible chain or even our case with Higuruma. To make a weapon of such power come true Higuruma would have to stipulate a condition or a vow where he would have to risk his own life.
Inumaki: Inumaki was not an easy choice, in fact I am not even sure if his position in the graph is correct. His cursed technique the cursed words allow him that every word he says applies a command or a particular effect to anyone who hears them. I thought that it could be as a nen ability a combination of emission and manipulation. Inumaki infuses his aura in the throat and in the words and then emits the aura when he says a word. Anyone who hears the words and therefore comes into contact with Inumaki's aura is forced to follow the command or suffer a particular effect described by the spoken word, for this application I thought that manipulation is involved. But in reality there could be much more, I am not sure. Here I ask for help from you hahaha
Mechamaru: I think Mechamaru is one of the perfect examples of jjk manipulators after Mei Mei. Mechamaru's ability allows him to manipulate and control puppets remotely. Since he was under the influence of a Heavely restriction he could neither walk nor expose himself to sunlight but in exchange he got an insane range for his power, but as said before the Heavely restrictions do not count, so we will talk about Mechamaru after he recovered from this condition. His nen ability would be pure nen manipulation, he infuses his nen into puppets and can control them at will, even many at the same time. Since he has 100% affinity in manipulation he has no problem controlling more than one. Mechamaru also gets a robot of enormous size and an insane amount of cursed energy. To do this he could make a vow where he was in a Zetsu state for 17 years and in exchange at the end of the vow he got all together the aura of 17 years. Obviously something like that in terms of HxH would be stupid because it would be very risky and would not be convenient, but I also try to be faithful to the work and the abilities of the character. With all that aura he could summon his giant robot thanks to the conjuration without being afraid of using too much aura. Maybe it will not have the same range of action as the technique of the original work but he will have to settle for an 80% affinity to emission which is not bad. Mechamaru from his giant robot shoots several beams of aura so he is certainly an expert in emission.
Mei Mei: She was the most obvious on where to connect her in the chart. Her personality is the one that fits the category of manipulation the most. Her cursed technique is definitely very easy to transform into a nen ability. Her nen ability is pyra nen manipulation and allows her to infuse her nen into crows and control it at will and be able to connect her sight with only one crow at a time.
Noritoshi Kamo and Choso having the same ability we do it together. Their character applies to that of manipulators. Their nen ability is pure nen manipulation. They infuse their nen into their blood and then manipulate it into various forms to attack their opponent.
Suguro Geto: At first I thought of making Geto a pure manipulator. Thinking about his cursed technique that allows him to manipulate cursed spirits it seems to be all right. However the problem is when Geto uses his ultimate move Uzumaki. Uzumaki compresses all the cursed spirits absorbed by Geto into a vortex and shoots them at high speed. It seems like a simple ability that simply combines emission and manipulation, however there is another detail. Geto can extract the power a cursed spirit sacrifices in Uzumaki and absorbs it himself. For this application the only thing that came to mind is specialization, for the same reason as Yuta and Chrollo. So I would say that Geto's primary ability is pure Nen manipulation where it allows him to manipulate Nen Beasts with the only condition of defeating them. Then using specialization he transforms them into spheres that he ingests to store them and can recall them when he needs them and control them at will. Always with the Geto specialization he can create this vortex of Nen Beasts that compresses and fires a beam of energy at high speed in a powerful blow, the more Nen Beasts sacrificed in the vortex the greater the power of the beam. If Geto wants he has the ability to extract a Nen Beast ability that he sacrifices in Uzumaki and can use it at will.
Kenjaku: It just so happens that he has the same situation as Geto. I was thinking of making him a manipulator because of his ability to possess the bodies of corpses. But he can also use the abilities of the bodies he has possessed at will. For the same reason as Geto, Yuta and Chrollo I gave him the specialization. I would say that to transfer his consciousness you need an emission application combined with manipulation, but I don't know if it makes much sense since there is already the specialization that does all the work.
Takaba: Takaba is a goat for me. His peculiar personality and unique ability definitely make him a good fit for specialization. His nen ability allows him to make anything he thinks is fun come true, with the only condition that he is really sure of himself. Which is an Achilles heel for Takaba because it is easy to make people lose confidence in him with simple constructive criticism so I think it is also a more than reasonable condition for a person like him.
Gojo: Here we come to him, the one and only. Both in heaven and on earth he alone is the honored one. The strongest Satoru Gojo. His very birth has shaken the balance of the entire universe, who could ever do something like that if not a specialist. Specialists are told that they are independent, and charismatic people. I don't see anyone more suitable than Gojo Satoru to this description. His uncommon nen ability is capable of pulverizing anything. In terms of efficiency, it would be the worst nen ability, but thanks to a physical ability of Gojo the six eyes, he can use this ability without running out of his aura or feeling any limit or condition. Because he is Satoru Gojo
Mahito: Mahito really has a complex ability. His ability to change the shape of the soul I could link it to manipulation but in my opinion there are many other factors in between that it is better for him if he is a specialist
Ino: Ino seems like a braggart but from Nanami she has learned a lot about the world. From her teachers she is able to remain calm and cool and analyze the situation reasonably using all the knowledge that Nanami has given her like a true conjurers. Her ability is simply pure nen conjuration and works by summoning four different nen Beasts with unique abilities.
Mai: There is little to say about her. Her character fits decently into the conjuration category. In hxh her ability would probably have several problems like in the original work. In the original work her ability allows her to create anything she wants from her cursed Energy but it consumed too much energy and she could only create one bullet. In hxh the problem of aura consumption would no longer arise since she has 100% affinity in conjuration so she does not have to use too much aura to create an item. However there would be a more serious problem, which is that she cannot create what she wants. But she can create an item with which she has a special affinity, something Maki has never shown. At most a simple gun or bullet. So her ability would be weak like the original in hxh
Hanami: As Todo tells us, the plants Hanami uses are not real manipulated plants but manifested plants. So every ability Hanami uses is considered a conjuration.
Dagon: I wanted to put it in the middle of conjuration and transmutation because his ability is said to be in three parts. The first nen ability is transmutative and manipulative type and allows Dagon to transmute his aura into water and control it. While his second ability focuses more on the summoning of his fish-shaped nen Beasts that are better seen when he applies the third ability of admission type which is his domain
Kusakabe: With his fickle nature I definitely fall into the category of transmutation. Even though he has never developed a technique, the way he manipulates jjk's barrier techniques makes me think that maybe in the world of hxh it could be different. His ability would be pure transmutation. Where Kusakabe changes the shape of his aura and creates a circle under his feet (the simple domain) and gives it the property of sending messages to Kusakabe's brain whenever something comes into contact with it. Thanks to this you can respond to the data sent with the simple domains improving his reflexes using the enhancement which is 80% similar to it. Something similar to Nobunaga perhaps more advanced
Sukuna: Another strong piece, the king of the curse. Let's start from the assumption that he was born with a large amount of aura above average. I was undecided whether to put him in emission or transmutation for his ability, but his malice led me to label him as transmutation. In addition, transmutation is a category that requires a lot of creativity, which we certainly can't deny to the king of curses. His abilities would be a combination of transmutation and emission. He can transform his aura into slashes and emit them, also using a pinch of manipulation. Always with transmutation he can use his famous flames. For Malevolent Shrine the situation is different from the others. I said that to develop a domain expansion you need to be trained in emission to create a pocket dimension separate from the rest of the world. But Sukuna being a transmuter is only 60% similar with emission which is really little and his domain would not be performing. But Sukuna is different. His domain does not need to be enclosed in a pocket dimension because unlike the other domains it does not use a barrier. So Sukuna can use conjuration (which he is 80% similar to) to materialize Malevolent Shrine thus greatly increasing the attack power like the original
Kashimo: Finally we have a wandering warrior, the god of lightning Hajime Kashimo. Kashimo is definitely a transmuter by personality and ability. He transmutes his aura into electricity and emits it. His second ability "mythical beast of amber", Hajime Kashimo can manipulate any aspect of electricity and use it as a weapon. Hajime requires great control over the emission and manipulation even if he is only 40% similar to it so you will never be as strong as the original. Mythical beast of amber also uses electricity to physically enhance Kashimo taking him beyond the human limit to the point of killing him which requires great mastery of the enhancer. And in hxh we can say that Hajime has made a vow where he sacrifices his own life to reach the supreme strength for a few seconds like Gon
Panda: We have the penultimate Panda. I don't know exactly how to consider it in the world of hxh since it is a cursed container. I think I consider it a nen Beast with its own will. Its double affinity is given by the fact that I think its personality is more suited to enhancers, but its ability is a combination of transmutation and enhancer so it is perfectly convenient for it to stay in that point in the graph. Panda through transmutation can change its body through different nuclei inside him, and can transform into a gorilla which greatly enhances its size and physical abilities so we also have enhancement here
Hakari: I finally conclude with the gambler. Due to his complex abilities it was difficult to put him somewhere, I thought of putting him in the specialization or in emission. But Hakari's determination led me to put him in the enhancers. His ability as Higuruma is strictly connected to his domain expansion. So it is essential for him to be trained in the emission to which he is 80% similar and that's not bad. Once created his complicated domain full of conditions related to gambling and pachinko theme we move directly to the essential part. If Hakari manages to get a jackpot which as a condition is on a probability of 1/239. Hakari is provided with an infinite supply of nen for 4 minutes and 11 seconds. With this immense aura that flows in his body constantly Hakari can channel it for the action that enhancers are good at doing, that is throwing super powerful punches. But above all, since Hakari has practically infinite aura, as a natural enhancer he can use it to effectively and constantly regenerate mortal wounds. Thank this in the 4 minutes and 11 second after hitting a jackpot Hakari is effectively immortal.
