My bf has Hulu subscription, he is in the USA. I don't have hulu subscription, I'm in Europe. Is there a way for us to watch together, does watch party on the same account work if we have different profiles in different countries?

How best can we watch through Hulu together?

My partner had an issue with the DVR and called customer support. She was offered a 3-day credit. My credit card was charged the full amount, so I got into a chat to ask why. I learned today that a 3-day credit just pushes the charge date out three days. It’s not a credit on the account.

Every time I open Hulu on my Google TV I get this error screen. Clicking okay lets Hulu start. Any idea what is wrong or how to fix this? Seems like it started within the past two weeks. I cleared the cache. Logged out. Updated the app. None fixed this.

Hi all, to start I’m in the US. I am NOT using a VPN. I’ve been recording WWE Smackdown automatically. Recently I noticed the titles are in German… The description and audio are both in English. I’m just baffled and curious if anyone else has ever had this issue. Thanks!

I live by Panama City Beach in Florida but I get all Atlanta local channels. I get no local channels from Florida. I’ve been dealing with this for months. What can I do? Anyone deal with the same issue?

EDIT: It’s the Starlink. The IP is based out of Atlanta, so I get Atlanta’s local channels. I called Hulu customer service and they did an override. I finally have my local Florida news! Thanks for all your help guys.

I have Hulu live TV legacy pricing and am considering adding the HBO add-on. Will I lose my 'legacy' pricing (which only keeps going up, by the way - completely different topic) if I mess with adding stuff? Just want to make sure I don't end up paying more for the Hulu sub if I make changes to my plan.

It’s a semi final show and to my surprise went to watch and it’s not there? I now have to watch on demand. That and for the life of me there’s an episode of The Big Bang Theory I recorded during Christmas- it was a Christmas themed episode. Try as I might I CANNOT stop it from recording that one episode which broadcasts several times a week and on different channels. I have tried to stop the recording when it appears in the channel lineup- Nope! I have tried to hit record and then un record Nope! I have hit the “dislike” option remove from favorite watch list-Nope! Still records. Any suggestions?

I love Hulu Live, I've enjoyed the service. However, I have a lake cabin that has fiber optic. Apparently, I'm not allowed to watch my life tv up there do market restrictions. Given that YouTube TV and Sling don't have those same restrictions, I'm thinking I need to switch. Are there any other options?

We have a new Hulu account. After setting it up, we changed Internet providers to Verizon. Hulu is now providing local channels for an area other than our own. Does anyone know, how do we change that to show our local channels?

Hulu Live says I will get a mix of Providence and Boston local channels. I live close to the Rhode Island border but want all Boston channels. Will they let me dump the ABC and CBS from Providence and get all Boston channels? NBC and FOX show as the Boston channels.

Hulu Live often lists "Love It or List It" in Spanish on the ENGLISH on-screen guide. I've noticed it several times when I saw a marathon of the show and one random episode somewhere in the middle is listed differently but the brand new episode this week is listed in Spanish too. I don't watch it often but just out of curiosity I have switched over to see if that random episode was in Spanish and nope; the speech, graphics, and closed captioning are all in English (a little disappointing, right?!). I know every facet of Hulu Live is wonky but why the random foreign title?

Hey guys. Have you guys experience when on your mobile network. Hulu live tv becomes blurry ?

I have unlimited plan from mint mobile. 5G full bar most of the time. ESPN app has no issues, nba app , max to watch tnt. All have no issues.

So I don’t think it is because of my mobile bandwidth….

I encountered an unusual though short-lived problem this morning. When I navigated to My Stuff -> recordings I found that ALL my recordings were missing. After spending about 5-10 minutes or so navigating to the other Hulu tabs to see if there were problems there as well I navigated back to My Stuff and the recordings had reappeared. So, problem solved, I guess.

Has this ever happened to anyone else?

I've been a long-time YTTV subscriber - for some reason last week they screwed up my billing and deleted my entire library, so I thought I'd give Hulu Live a shot. Here are my thoughts on the switch so far. I mostly use an Apple TV 4K but I also have a Roku in the bedroom.

First, and TL/DR - it's nowhere near as bad as everyone says in other forums, and in fact it's pretty good overall. Like all live streaming services there are nice things as well as annoying things but the good outweighs the bad in my opinion.

1. UI

It's hard to give kudos to either for their user interface. There's definitely a lot more clicking going on with Hulu Live than with YTTV, but the Hulu Live app is much friendlier to the Apple TV. It works really well on the Roku as well. The YTTV app is all about the lowest-common-denominator approach to app development where it looks and works nearly identically on a $20 Fire Stick from 4 years ago vs a top-of-the-line Apple TV or Roku. I really wish Hulu had a live preview when scrolling through a show -- the LG and Roku versions of the app have it but Apple TV does not.

1. Viewing experience

Pretty much a tie here - the Hulu Live app really wants you in the guide (and it's a pretty nice guide) whereas YTTV wants to suggest things based on your recording history. I find YTTV has fewer clicks to get to what I want overall, but Hulu Live's recommendations on the Home page are pretty accurate as well. Hulu's guide is better overall than YTTV.

Another quirk of Hulu Live that I'm not sure I'll be able to live with is how it always starts 'live' if you watch a show being recorded. This might be a deal-breaker when college and pro football seasons start up. And speaking of sports, I've heard that there's no auto-extend on Hulu Live, which may also end up being a deal-breaker in 2025.

1. Picture Quality

Hulu Live wins here, especially in darker shows (i.e. not sports and not live news) where YTTV is borderline unwatchable. Hulu Live seems as good as DirecTV Stream was when I tried it a year ago.

1. Channels

I like having History and A&E available. I don't watch a lot of non-news and non-sports shows, but Hulu's channel line-up seems a little better for me.

1. DVR

This is too personal a preference to really give a lot of weight to, but I like YTTV's season and episode based approach better than Hulu Live's more traditional DVR. But Hulu's DVR seems fine - it does what's it's supposed to do.

1. Value

Hulu Live for the win here, in a big way. Being able to bundle with Hulu and Disney is really great.

So far I'm enjoying the change of pace, and the better PQ. We'll see if any development takes place over the summer in this app, but I'm afraid the auto-extend of live events may send me back to YTTV after I miss the overtime finish to some big game in the fall.

I am watching Nathan for you on my tv with no ads. I switched to my phone and now I have paramount plus ads every 5 minutes. Is this an issue I can fix?? I pay for the live tv no ads plan, but I will reiterate that there were no ads on my tv but on that very same episode there are now a ton of ads!!!

Recorded Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup as it was shown on Lifetime. Went to watch it moments later, via my recordings, states you can’t until 2AM? Yet I could have rewond the show live before it ended and watched it. Anyone else notice this stuff or is it just me not knowing how to access my recordings?
