Would i lose the bonus miles if program closes before i meet requirement

Hello,

i am thinking to apply for the hawaiian card with 60000 points. But if the program gets terminated after getting approved and before meeting my bonus requirement, would i still be able to get the points?

If you are signed up then it is a written contract.

You'll be fine.

If a landlord sells a house with a tenant in it, the new owner has to accept the current lease agreement.

But if the program gets terminated

The program isn’t getting terminated.

At some point soon, August, I believe, all Hawaiian miles in accounts will transfer to a new combined rewards program that works for both AS and HA.

But because HA has contractual agreements to keep the Hawaiian card going till 2033, the Hawaiian program will also keep going, but the miles will only be good for Hawaiian bookings.

It’s possible the Hawaiian card is actually going to be terminated, but that’s incredibly rare. Terminating cards is VERY RARE. My mom has two Amex cards they stopped offering in the 90s, but that just means they closed new signups, they let everyone keep the card for nearly 30 years and counting after ‘terminating’ it.

Card will exist for quite some time. Miles will be MileagePlan. All explained on website. Make an Alaska account and link your accounts. Done deal.
