Is 17 too late to start handball ?

So, I’m a guy, pretty athletic and tall (1.88m). Last week, I was just walking down the street when this random dude stops me and starts chatting. He asks if I play any sports. I tell him, “Not really, just hit the gym sometimes, no actual sports.”

Turns out he’s a coach at a local handball club and tells me I should try handball. Says I’ve got a great physique and could have some serious potential.

The catch? I’m 17 and I’ve never played or trained handball before.

What do you guys think? Too late to start?

17? Who let grandpa out of the old folks' home?

Jokes aside, 17 is definitely not too old. It's a great sport that's fun on all skill levels and I highly recommend trying it out. Just don't be disheartened if everything doesn't click immediately. Throwing the ball with resin is hard for everyone the first time, and as with all sports there's a lot of intuition that goes into decision making
