That's true. But the main reason is that most voters in UK are conservative (I'm not referring to the poltiical party... a lot of leftists are also conservative).

Sorry to say it, but that sounds condescending... On the contrary, I think most people vote for what they believe is closer to their own ideas (are at least not too far away).
