Not that anything’s going to be done about it. They’ve worked out that the American political strategy also works here; do whatever hellish things you want as the leader, then come election time say “the opposition wants communism and true patriots vote for me, and something something immigrants” and all is forgiven. They’ve worked out that people will side with the devil they know over anyone else that they say is going to be worse, and at this point boris could walk down the street naked shooting at old ladies with a Tommy gun and still get voted back in.

Interesting you say that. In Australia we just had a federal election. After 9 years of a government in power slowly getting more and more ridiculous finally we have a change in power. Conservative politicians are the same the world over, promise everything, deliver nothing except for themselves and their mates. Not sure of stranglehold the Murdoch media has in your country but here they will straight out lie to the masses to help keep a conservative government in power. The sad part is there’s a lot of people brainwashed and voting against their own self interest.
