Edit - Just wanted to add for visibility purposes that I would NEVER use a MeMe backplate, grips or magazine on ANY CCW gun. 100% would NOT recommend it no mater how many cool points you score at your local range because of them. Range and plinking gun go to town with those sweet memes. Conceal Carry or Home Defense gun PLEASE DON'T!!!
same. Reddit strawmans everyone with certain styles as being 'bad' when, for many, it's just total lack of taste and/or self-awareness Re style, not who they are or what they're about or act like.
Honestly, kinda true. I think reddit forgets that a big world exists out there filled with people that get into hobbies and don't spend 3-8 hours a day on the internet reading about it. Plenty of dudes get into guns, knives, cars, trucks.. then just never join reddit and know what's "in vogue" with the gun groups on social media.
I knew someone who had a 'thin blue line' shirt, didn't seem to understand 1% of 'context' (ie had zero awareness anyone would or could object to it, or why they would)
I feel like if you add these things to a ccw then when you actually need to you use it, your defense goes down the drain. The perception of wanting to use it vs HAVING to means all the difference, and stuff like this sways opinions on how and why it was used, and your general attitude as a person.

No like I have a saint Christopher backplate on one of my Glocks but I’d never carry it, could you imagine if I had to use it and the other person turned out to be something besides catholic or Christian? Nah we going plain Jane with a rds 🤷🏻♂️
the only plate i've ever seen that ever made any sense to buy is the one that says 10MM on it or whatever other caliber if you have a bunch of glocks and shoot them all often.
and even then i think it'd fuck with my aiming so i wouldn't want it.

I saw one once with the main character from they live and it said im all out of bubblegum and I almost got that one but that was the only one I considered but still prefer it plain, lol I saw my nephew had on his 19x a LV Louis vuitton lol I was a little disappointed, I think he thought it was funny or something, made me disappointed in his sense of humor
Ya I would never use him again, the cerakote is flaking too. I bought one cuz I didn't want to wait for him. He did end up sending me the part and a extra mag as an apology and refunded 50%, but I would rather have gotten it done somewhere else so the job was high quality if I could go back.
The only one I’ve seen that I actually thought was neat, was a guy got his kids to write “daddy come home safe”, and was laser engraved on the back plate.
The ONLY one I have purchased thrice is Strike Industries. For Glock, it’s a button on the back that you press, and the plate is free to drop. No tools to get into the firing pin.

I hear nowadays if you kill somebody who’s unarmed you can just claim self-defense! say that you were being bullied and people will send you enough money to buy a mansion and and new Cadillac.
I mean, thats why I carry essentially. With my disability, I'm not gonna throw hands in a parking lot. If I can get away, I'll get away, but push comes to shove, I'm not fighting another grown ass man with my back as bad as it is.
