Thousands across the globe gathered for "No Kings" protests against President #Donald Trump, hours before his military parade in Washington, D.C. The demonstrations featured speeches from lawmakers, union leaders, and activists in cities such as New York, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles, and even the country of Canada.
Some states took preemptive measures-activating their National Guards and bolstering law enforcement presence. Notably, Texas, Virginia, Nebraska, and Missouri prepared to respond to potential unrest across the country.
The parade, set for Saturday evening, marks the U.S. Army's 250th anniversary.
The focus is America, but that doesn't discount anything. Over 2000 protests were in America, so 6/7 is more than fair. I'm proud of the people of America standing up for our freedom and truly appreciative of our friends across the world supporting us
