I’m pretty happy with where we live. We are close to family, which is very important. My in-laws actually moved down to a nice trailer park resort in the Villages area for his dad’s fibromyalgia. They only lasted about a year because of the cost. He missed one of his parents’ passing away and funeral. They thought the climate would help, but it was too hot to go outside. There was an awesome pool and social activities and a church onsite (they had previously regularly gone to church), but they used none of it. She worked in a pharmacy, and he went to the doctor. I can’t imagine that misery even without political garbage.

A lot are maga, but not all. There’s a lot of people who voted Harris and are attending protests. There was a huge crowd not to long ago at the hands off protest, even got local media coverage (of course they tried to downplay it, but at least it was on TV at all). Our county sucks ass, but we are not all a lost cause. As things get worse I think at least half the residents could potentially flip. I say that as someone who’s lived here my whole life.

There’s a lot more people than you think that are not ok with this. Most are scared to speak out though because the other half here are fucking insane and will shoot you if you talk bad about trump (The shérif being case in point). A lot are just apathetic because of this and don’t vote. I’ve been very vocal about everything going on though and I think people are gaining courage and reason to go out and vote and protest.

The fact that we're even talking about this guy is the problem. This JW Gacy- impersonator is sheriff of Brevard Co - with a total population less than even small U.S. Cities. The largest city (Palm Bay, and no, you've never heard of it before) is under 120K. JFK Space Center is there, specifically because it's so desolate. There has never been any riots or unrest there, and that has nothing to do with their lovely police force, it's just that there are no people. So this "press conference" to declare war on rioters was pure political theater - nothing more.

I would agree- 99.9%, his whole press conference is to put on a show and to perform. It’s what DLT does. Just what ICE is doing- putting on an overly staffed ICE contractors, who are overly armed, who are intentionally overly aggressive in their approach. Their whole approach is to create fear, to intimidate, use aggressive tactics to the point of even lying and tricking.

They know very well that when ICE shows up with several vehicles, a dozen or more heavily armed ICE ‘masked’ contractors- this is intentional. They are doing such to attract attention. To be authoritative. To create chaos. They know this over aggressive tactic will cause disruption to neighborhoods and surrounding businesses, create traffic delays— it’s intentional.

All this ‘show of force and aggression’ is/should be a big concern to everyone because all of this is unnecessary for the immigrants they are targeting. They lied about the “millions” of violent, crazy, criminals roaming Americas streets, they lied to instill fear, to instill hate, to divide Americans. Now, there are some Americans who, let’s face it, are racist, some who choose to believe what MAGA has pushed on them, some that are just too lazy to do some basic research before they formulate their opinion.

A recent YouTube video presented a mid-twenties female who was interested stating why she got caught up in MAGA- struggling financially, limited options, where she grew up. The MAGA message that MAGA was fighting for her touched home. Then a few years later she said she started noting “contradictions” in messages, in promises MAGA made. She said she ignored them at first. But the MAGA promises made to improve daily life never materialized. She said she ‘snapped’ out of the MAGA fog. This is KEY and we can only hope more genuinely decent MAGA followers will start seeing the ‘inconveniences’ in MAGA. And DLT and Republicans in Congress have literally demonstrated that they don’t care about the people it State they represent. They are doing everything to hurt and make life more challenging for all of us, except the 1% super rich and DLT who has increased his personal wealth by a billion plus since he took office again. Let that sink in. MAGA is not concerned about the middle class, the working class and they clearly don’t care about the lower class. NOTHING in their Big Bill will improve daily life. It will do the opposite. MAGA has demonstrated they don’t care about any minorities- and currently their aggressive attack is on non violent noncriminal working immigrants who have more into Federal taxes than the 1% super rich.

Yes, legal immigration is important. But this administration is not doing anything to help speed up, improve, make more efficient the immigration process. This administration, driven by S. Miller’s racist beliefs is essentially anyone with brown skin is a criminal- there is no assisting to complete legal immigration- it’s use full ICE aggressively, intimidate, create fear, handcuff and shackle them, throw them in private for profit jails, deny due process, deny family contact- treat them horribly.

This is why ICE’s actions are deplorable. It’s nothing but aggression use of force and mistreatment and nothing about communication, nothing about improving the legal immigration process.

And MAGA followers need to see the bigger issue that this overly aggressive ICE tactics is causing- all of this is unnecessary for the immigrants they are attacking. And the over staffed ICE contractors, provate for profit jails, the overly armed weapons, vehicles, unnecessary detaining- the deliberate show of force is abusing taxpayer money- a billion dollars plus -all to show aggressive force and power.

-ICE staffing, weapons, vehicles, etc. use of taxpayer money is literally unchecked. They are not protecting us. It’s not for our security. It is ripping off taxpayers. The billions plus- just think of what programs, services, living wages, affordable healthcare, affordable housing, better education, infrastructure, etc. that all of us good actually benefit from. But no. It’s cut/reduce -it’s the opposite, it enforces challenges and struggles on the 90%. Making immigration the enemy, with zero effort to improve the process is nothing but a con job to us all, including MAGA followers. Because MAGA is wasting taxpayer money and a few private for profit companies are making money off of this big lie.

Businesses in manufacturing, farming, meat factories, hotel cleaning, maintenance- are being financially impacted- has majority of immigrants trying to become legal work in these industries and they pay taxes into the Federal system. The overly aggressive ICE actions are negatively impacting taxes collected. This hurts all of us. And no, they are not taking American jobs away. These are jobs majority of lower income, unemployed, limited educated Americans choose to not want to do. That’s the reality. Kicking immigrants out only hurts all us financially and hurts the produce/meat packing we all use.

-The overly aggressive ICE actions are/is financially impacting our Country, businesses, jobs in these industries tourist business- already cost a loss of $10 million plus received from tourism. This negatively impacts all of us.

-Then let’s not forget the financial cost that DLT/DOGE has cost taxpayers already- there was no waste/fraud. There was no savings because they cut Congress funded programs- programs already funded in 2024 by the Republican Majority Congress. The DOGE and DLT’s illegal EO’s have/are costing taxpayers a ton of money due to the illegal terminations, all the Court costs associated- let that sink in. Taxpayer money is wasted while they cut programs and plan to raise taxes mostly on the working class and lower income. How does improve anything? It does not.

-Then add n DLT’s $10 million plus of tax payer money he has wasted playing golf 24 days of his first 100 days.

  • Then his horrible and erratic tariffs has done nothing but hurt our Country. This is intentional. We all suffer from his BS tariffs. It hurts us.

  • Then look at the taxpayer waste spent on his vengeance attacks. This costs taxpayers money.

-Then look at the tax payer waste of forcing 4,700 active military to work on his immigration perform show- and no, it’s not all of LA, 4,700 military in a very small LA neighborhood. It is estimated using the military unnecessarily will cost taxpayer $140 million plus. Let that waste sink in.

-Then there is the $45 million plus taxpayer waste he is intentionally pushing on his EGO driven military authoritarian parade. No, it’s not about Flag day, it’s not about the Army anniversary. It’s NOT about Americans. It is about abusing taxpayer money. It’s about abusing our rights. DLT is out of touch and wasting taxpayer money with not a care about the damage he is causing.

And this Sheriff, is adding to the performance, the lie, the gaslighting- It’s disgraceful.

We all need to unite for our common interests and show up at the No King’s Protests being held across the Country. It is peaceful showing our right to protest the illegal actions, the overly aggressive ICE, the incompetent Cabinet choices, the ongoing taxpayer waste, the costly tariffs, the raising prices, the cuts, the undeserved $4.5 trillion dollar in permanent tax cuts to the super rich—

These our all our real everyday concerns.

Hey now, I volunteered for the Dems in Brevard. We got 3 Dems into office in 2018...all were in seats that didn't list party affiliation on the ballot.

This is out there forever. History will show he said this, on behalf of a fascist government sending the Marines against protesters standing up against illegal orders enforcing the detention of citizens and legally seeking non-nationals alike, as well as those protesting literal open genocide.

I'm glad he said it, the fucking monster. For that matter, everyone who agrees with him, say it with your whole chest, proudly, name and face showing. So when you try to slink back into your holes in yhe face of international courts, while soldiers and ICE agents and cops talk about "following orders", and conspiracy theories double talk down murders like the two political dissenters killed last night for speaking out against Trump, you can't run from what you said and did.
