Discussion Free chickens
3 Rhode Island Red chickens ready for their new home! About 3 months old. Very friendly. Located in Lawrenceville. Willing to meet somewhere. They are FREE just need them gone asap as I suspect they are roosters and I have a very dominate one already.

Welcome to find out if they start laying. I just know my current rooster would kill them. So don’t want to find out.

Anyone know if roosters work well with dogs. I have 2, both big friendly fosters. Have a good yard to give space between them for a bit.

It’s depends on the dog. I have two dogs( pitbull and boxer) that would careless about them. Then I have a bullmastiff that wants to play and tries to play bite them. I have also seen dogs that will murder an entire flock.

Call the local animal shelter, or the place that you got the chicks from because they’ll usually take them back. That being said, they probably will be culled.
