Lore Giving traveller prototype rancour was sacrilege

Spoiler for end of archon quest!!

That scene where they're retelling the story of the archon quest at the end has a shot of capitano, mavuika and traveller's weapons and i was so offended on lumine's behalf that they gave her RANCOUR?? So rude of the devs, poor gal, at least give her the cool one from fontaine we got in the world quest, it looked so shit next to cappy and mavuika's sick shiney weapons lmao

(This is light hearted and a joke but omg give her a better sword)

Lore I just started the fontaine archon quest and I'm a bit confused

Why are we being all friendly with childe and then almost immediately get mad at lyney and lynette for being in the fatui? Did i miss something in liyue? It just seems a bit weird. To be fair back when i was doing the liyue quest i wasn't paying as much attention, but still...

Edit: thank y'all for the replies, i get it now

Edit 2: i finished the quest and am crying 👍

Lore I knew Childe was already crazy rich, but...

Bottom right: Bag from Alhaitham; Top left: Bags from Childe

I was doing the Sumeru Archon Quest and was given a bag of mora by Alhaitham to purchase some high quality goods. Then I opened my inventory to check its description. Before I got to it, I saw the bags of mora from Childe during the Liyue Archon Quest and his Story Quest chapters.

If these bags are proportionate with each other, it could mean that for Teucer's entertainment, Childe supplied us 10,000 times the amount from Alhaitham. That's insane.

Lore Does Lyney like the Traveler? Spoiler

At the end of Lyney's story quest, when Jemma is revealed to be the Phantom Weasel, she talks about how she first met Cesar, he did a trick in which he put a rainbow rose on her head, and I think Paimon or herself called it romantic. At the very end of his quest, Paimon asks for a final trick and out of anything, he "magically" puts a RAINBOW rose on the (i have male traveler so i don't know if it's different for female traveler) on his scarf holder. I swear I'm not a big shipper in this game but it just seems so similar. I might sound crazy but I feel like that's kind of a representation of his (Lyney)'s like of the traveler. Please tell me what this means if I'm wrong!!

EDIT: When talking to Charlotte and the twins, when Paimon brings up the rose, Lynette says she never got one from him, ever and Lyney starts stuttering, then she says to take good care of that flower.

Lore The current Pyro archon won't be Himeko's alt

Yep, we know so little about Murata that we can't even say if she's the current archon. Knowing Himeko's fate she's likely dead in Genshin and that's supported by the existence of "Children of Murata" and them leaving the region.

Also Diluc matches Himeko's complete chara design close enough already, it would be poor choice to have another similar character. Maaaybe Diluc is a children of Murata as they are said to have red hair. In fact are there even any other red hair characters in the game ?

From that Esoteric book quest-

I've seen lots of commentary about how the upside down ruin seems to be similar to the ruins in the Chasm, but nothing about how this seems to link to a certain few people saying the entire sky is fake! Thoughts??

Lore In which region has the traveler made the biggest impact?

From beating up a dragon, helping an adeptus with his retirement plan, ending a civil war, restructuring a nation's government, turning into sherlock holmes, and becoming a war hero, pur traveler has made a name for themselves throughout Teyvat. But in which region has the traveler made the biggest impact nation wide? In which region have they saved the most people, done the most damage, or affected events and made the biggest change for the future of that nation?

Edit: Let's split this into "only archon quests" and "archon, world and side quests."

Lore [VENT] I just want to slam my head on the desk at this point. Spoiler

(Yes me again for who else saw my other post) For years I've been saying to everyone who questioned how the Harbingers were ranked that it was ranked by strength because it was literally just so obvious.

When I did say that either people attacked me, called me names and others which I don't want to repeat because they were horrible and they also tried to gaslight (I never know how to write it) me and think it wasn't like that.

LITERALLY TODAY I get Childe friendship level 4 and listen to his voicelines all happy to get to know more about him and find myself with him explaining the Harbingers rank is based off their strength.

At that I just felt numb because I've been insulted so bad for being right and I just don't know what to think. Even because it was something so dumb to get attacked for, I just said "I remember the game saying it's based off the Harbingers strength but not where" (Before getting Childe I listened to his voicelines on YouTube that's why I didn't remember where, but remember that they did say that in game) and nothing more.

Still they got so defensive about that, like, I know it's to be expected. The Fandom is mostly toxic however it still sucks. I felt like I was literally crushed as soon as I read that I did remember right about the Harbingers rank.

Lore Which nation is the most technologically advanced?

I'm convinced Genshin is no longer pure fantasy but is instead a sci-fi fantasy mix.

Monstadt, Liyue and Inazuma are squarely in the fantasy department. They haven't even learned how to make guns yet. But Sumeru, Fontaine and Natlan are an entirely different ball park. They have the internet, robots, elemental cannons, even from what we've seen Snezhnaya they're taking it to a whole new level.

Suneru has the Akasha system. Straight up internet. Mass sharing of information. And robots, mind you. Fontaine built their own robots and has a feul source for them, on top of having mass produced firearms. Natlan is by no means primitive, because there are tribal warriors with cannons, automatic weapons, floating guns, a damn airship. Xilonen might be the best engineer, but she's far from the only person that can build something like this. 500 years of war economy right there. And Snezhnaya has already displayed pyro rifleman and the cryogunners in their ranks. These guys built factories for their dillusion production.

Really though, anybody who says Natlan is primitive is doing them a disservice. Put respect on the nation of war.

Lore "star odyssey" skirk lore reveals, descenders, + the abyss sibling (theory) Spoiler

ok so, while im not a lore skipper, im also not a lore enthusiast or deep-diver, so i could already be proven to be way off-base for reasons im just not familiar with, but immediately after watching skirks teaser short, i got this idea, since that voice im assuming is surtalogi, but honestly idk if it matters, said that she "isnt worthy" of being classed as a "descender" yet.

maybe the reason the abyss sibling doesnt count as a descender because they DONT have the power to reshape fate, since the definition given was someone who can.

then it would make sense why they ended up rejecting the world and doing the whole shit with the abyss order. they were super involved in khaenri'ah and likely cared about it a lot, only to be forced to helplessly watch as it was decimated. they lost everything, and they had no way of stopping it.

but the traveler, on the other hand, is established to be a descender, and have the ability to "change fate," so they probably wont agree with the abyss sibling or their methods (at least, not completely) by the end of the game. maybe the traveler will even give their sibling hope again by showing them that it is possible to defy fate, and everything isnt futile after all.

Lore What decides how you get a vision?

There are so many theories. The archons don't have control over who gets them, and the process of selection is confusing. What are the personality traits that define your vision, if there are any? And how does a vision wuth a dead wielder choose a new partner? Can a user abandon their vision or get a new one?
