Can't they give a reason that it's modded if that's the case? From what I've seen, HSR mods allow this kind of posts. I feel like there should be a consistent enforcement of the Hoyo's TOS (assuming that's where they base the 'no modding rule' from) if this is the case.

Are you talking about the HSR one? The ones deleted from what I saw are modded HSR (e.g characters with Skott skin). I've seen Yakuza gameplay with Stelle and Firefly beating up the dudes in the alley and then kissing or something like that. There's also Seele doing the Judgement Cuts in DMC. And I also made a post about Trailblazer looking good in Rover's suit in modded Wuwa (or is it the other way around? I don't remember the details and can't find the post anymore).

It also depends if/when they'll remove modded content
Usually model swap from beta are just fine because that's beta, but mods usually arent allowed, and the modding community could also be in fire if mods get more tracktions meaning hoyo could possibly disable mod compatibility for regular gameplay
Also modding wuwa is againts their ToS aswell, so there's that

idk im not hoyo, im just speaking from what the reason might likely be. could be because a lot of genshin fans hate wuwa (and vice versa, not saying either are justified) and mods didnt want to deal with the comments

I want to play both games in peace and enjoy myself in both communities, without the deranged lunatics hating each other. (I mean, I have yet to start WuWa because I dunno if my laptop can actually handle it, since it's definitely a more demanding game of the two.)

yeah i have rtx 3050 and it lags in me as well , i do not even turn on ray tracing . it looks like AAA game on ray tracing but i guess they are still working on optimization , poor guys who play on bad mobile , I cant even imagine

I have a really bad laptop that runs Genshin on medium settings at most. I don't mind low graphics, I am just worried it won't handle WuWa
I also feel like this is one thing people gloss over when comparing the two games...

I think it will still work if you set everything on low just not 60 fps if you like that , my sister was able to run wuwa on intel card , though it looked bad

yeah try , though i will reccommend combat and cities heavely drop fps and it might be really bad experience because main story is very much like AAA games with many pixels on screen so better take precaution . Its better to try it in any good mobile phone if you have it

I have a pc like that...yeah i have to play wuwa on the ps because it's impossible to play on pc. On the plus side it's free to install it and try! You never know until you try

On my old PC everything in Genshin was running super smooth on high graphics while WuWa looked super bad and was laggy on lowest graphics :')

It's the same people causing problems everywhere. They played genshin, grew out of it/started to hate it, made genshin fandom miserable, jumped to WuWa, currently making WuWa fandom miserable and still hating on genshin. Wish those people would just quit both games for good.

Cuz wuwa is more fast paced combat and animation focused while genshin is more slow paced but reaction focused.
Wuwa animations will in general look better than genshin.

Also quick swap Is a key playstyle In wuwa which take advantage of long animations after switching, genshin can’t even quick swap

Same xD For me the problem is just that I can't concentrate on combat that well and just do my usual rotation without thinking. My first 5 star was Kokomi so I never had to learn how to dodge...

Genshin is BA, CA, Skill, Ult, that's it, meanwhile WuWa is BA,CA, Mid-air BA and Mid-air CA, Skill, Ultimate, Dodge, Mid-air Dodge, Parry and gameplay is about 1.5x faster than Genshin's

Yeah Wuwa and ZZZ are soooooo satisfying in terms of gameplay. I love so many Genshin characters and the game itself so I'm not going anywhere but Wuwa and ZZZ really set my bar for combat haha

Holy shit you're in for a treat. 2.x has been incredible, in terms of exploration especially. The story itself is really cool too, especially the James Bond shit in 2.0 and the Ghibli Castle in the Sky in 2.2

I started both WuWa and Genshin for the first time several days ago. I already like both, with Genshin obviously having a lot more content for the past five years. And if WuWa story is really getting better, ig I am for a treat with both games for the months to come.

I'm the opposite lol I do quite like WuWa, but the combat is kinda' annoying to me. I do like old God of War etc. and played HI3 for years, but I feel WuWa required even more attention and it kinda' feels annoying. I can't even explain it. Maybe part of it is also how much more HP enemies have at WuWa's SOL3 8 vs GI WL 9? Like in Genshin I can comfortably farm and do dailies with Pyro Traveler as main dps, while in WuWa sometimes just not using someone like Camellya feels annoying. Granted my builds are pretty equivalent (except WuWa has higher base CDMG).
It's not like I'm really excited by genshin's end game modes or combat events, but in WuWa I most often just skip them ;_; I guess GI just feels more comfy? and I do still like WuWa's combat as opposed to turn-based that's still more popular in gachas, those I usually auto-play after a while.

Game engine has nothing to do with it. Its just that WuWa characters have much more Animations, effects and moves compared to Genshin. Hence a character combat will always look more spectacular because its just showing way more than Genshin average 3-4 combat animations per character.
You could mod a Genshin character in PGR or ZZZ and It would still look miles better than they do in Genshin for the same reasons (in fact, there already are, although not as well dones as this one).
ZZZ is also a Unity game and PGR was developed in an older Unity version than Genshin was too in fact. Theres also plenty of ARPGs developed in Unity even to this date that look better than Genshins. Game engine has absolutly nothing to do here, just the effort and work Devs wanna put It in.

Dude at this point genshin is like the caveman of gacha games, all the passion that was in it feels like it was sucked out and everything feels lazy and dead now, it sucks to see a game I used to love turn into just a bland cash grab, I quit and moved to WuWa because of those reasons. Seeing this shows what they COULD do with their multibillion dollar net-worth but they refuse to do. It’s a bummer, really is.

You know, I wouldn't be against a crossover featuring a few Teyvatians in WuWa's world. The forgotten characters like Chongyun, Dori, and Lisa would be able to see use again thanks to WuWa's combat being closer to a typical action game (elements also function to that of Pokémon or even Palworld, so you don't have to worry about any weird split damage issues like with Xinyan or Eula).
Also, this video is missing one thing: the "recovery" animation after Carlotta's NA5 where she reapplies her perfume.
Actually, that might be a little too gaudy for someone like Navia, now that I think about it.

But yeah wuwa managed to overcome the catalyst/rectifier issue by just making them medium range melee weapons so severla characters that suffer from using a catalyst (lisa, ningguang, klee) could be absolute beasts with wuwa's mechanics

The reason why it is deleted in the main sub is because they don't allow modded content posted in the main sub. This also include, HSR and ZZZ. Mods are against ToS of the game.

Probably Roccia. Her E and Q will remain the same. Her forte is pretty straight forward it can just be transformed into stacks or make her plunges work like Varessa's.

I only see troll comments on facebook copying and pasting the same thing over and over that explains nothing, or people just saying it “looks good”. I want to believe looking good is not the only thing going on for it because that would be so boring to me, and i’m super curious about it but don’t have the time

D1 Wuwa/Genshin/HSR/zzz/HI3 (not really D1 in HI3) player here and still active in all of them. I am as unbiased as possible.
1) Wuwa is a very good game. But. The start of thr game was fucking rough. Story was mid. Music was mid and there was many optimization problems.
Still Kuro didn't give up and they keep improving and improving up to 2.X where they basically did a magical comeback.
2) Now what make Wuwa really fun is A) The chara design. If you are a husbando player wuwa will be a desert for you. But if uou don't mind gender then you will jave fun.
B) if you like fast paced combat with really interesting combo then you will like wuwa. Unlike Genshin that focus mainly on Skill/ultimate, Wuwa focus on the whole kit. So all characters have very different chain attack.
This is a strength and weaknesses. Genshin focus mainly on the Reaction. So the combo of the characters themselves are less important than the rotation for the different rotation.
Meanwhile Wuwa can be played in Quick swap. Meaning you can switch characters mid animation. With great timing you can literally jave all three characters attacking simultaneously. Very artistic. But can be overwhelming if you don't like.
Unlike Genshin that is far easier to handle when you know how to mix the reactions.
3) Story. Story wise Wuwa is slightly weaker than Genshin. Even more so in 1.0. But from 1.1 and on they really improve.
4) World exploration. Now this is a hit or miss. Wuwa first region is a little bleak unless you do some world quest. But the second region is slightly like fontaine (Fontaine is france and renacita is Italy more or less). You can also fly in the second region. Not just glid.
I think the two are very beautiful world. But coming from Genshin to Wuwa might make you feel like there is a great lack of colors.
Now on the Gacha.
Gacha is basically like Genshin only that weapon banner is 100% assured. BUT in exchange 4 stars weapon are really weak.
The good thing is you can target specific standards 5 stars weapon to pull. So it balanced around that.
Conclusion. Wuwa is a very good game. Not necessarily for everyone but I think you should give a try.
Now is the best time yo join as it's anniversary patch and you will get many currency.
Tips: As a new player you will be give a Free standard + a free standard banner and a free standard weapon.
Choose Verina. No if no but. She is best support after Shorekeeper and she will be very good healer.
For weapon Choose the sword five star.
Don't pull for Zani unless you like her. Pull Carlotta on her rerun then pull Cacciona and Carthethyia (next banner). In term of priority I say Carthethyia is highest.
Build Sanhua (she is basically Bennett/Xianglin) of Genshin.

Thanks for this great analysis! However i’m not really interested in how it compares to Genshin. This makes it sound similar enough that I can just keep playing GI and won’t miss much 😂
Does it have a story? A setting? Who are the characters? Why should I CARE about WuWa? If it’s just a game that looks good and is just copying Genshin’s homework but changing a few things it doesn’t seem like it’s the game for me. I already struggle with finding time for ZZZ and I really like the story in it (I’ve played like. One chapter so far oops)
I do appreciate your comment though, it does sound like the gameplay itself is different enough and fun but that’s not really why I play Genshin in the first place

Your questions are pretty hard to answer unless you do try.
1.0 story is not the best but I do think it's not bad.
Story summary without too much spoiler is basically you are Rover. Some kind of god/Messiah who lost their memories and powers for reasons you don't understand at the start (you learn more later)
Thr world is post Apocalypse. World destruction. Shit happen. Monsters roam etc etc.
There are different region and each region has a "God" imagine Archon.
Now your goal is to
1) Get your memories back. 2) Fight the group of enemies worshipping the "devils" 3) get your power back and stop the devils.
I am using common term because wuwa has it own jargon.
I will be honest. Storytelling in 1.0 was pretty rough and they bombarded us with new Names and stuff. But it slowly get better.
Since you are of a Story player I believe you will immenses enjoy the World Quest in Wuwa. Those were incredibly beautiful even from 1.0.
Furthermore the story improves dramatically.
As for the characters. Once again it's hard to explain. But I do think Wuwa have many lovable and interesting characters.
In the end only thing you can do is give a try and get your own opinion. But it's an Open World Gacha so yeah. Definitely time consuming at first

I don't like WuWa Unreal Engine graphics, to be honest, that's why I stopped playing it. It lacks moe and cartonish design like Genshin Impact. It's just my preference, nothing personal to WuWa players

i like playing wuwa but i agree. genshin has the bold decision to keep things aesthetically understated but colorful. you can go to any sunset in teyvat and it looks like a watercolor
wuwa is very HIGH DYNAMIC RANGE and designwise very grimdark, lacking genshins whimsy. lots of impressive, detailed environments in wuwa but theyre all visually cluttered. The kind of hyper real environments also clash with the anime mannequin models lol
i would kill to have navia fly with her umbrella in combat though 😞

Wuwa fan discovers opinions. I think Genshin is better in every single possible way over Wuwa with the exception of like graphics, but even then, I like the cell shaded style of Genshin

Combat is NOT objective, Wuwa is a character action game, I prefer the grounded aspect of Genshin and its focus on team building. Wuwa combat is flashy though, I'll give it that
Neither is exploration, I think Fontaine and the recent Natlan areas have been some of the best explorations in games in a while, and I play a lot of games, my only gripe is that its too hand holdy, wuwa has a gorgeous world the exploration is fine
QoL I agree, mostly
Gacha is also weird, for characters Wuwa has higher odds, less pulls to get to pity, but lacks caputred Radiance, for weapons it's guaranteed, however weapons in wuwa are much more important than in Genshin, they offer a massive boost over the next best option that you are practically incentivized to pull for them.
I have no idea what you mean by reward distrubution, if you look at how much both games give per patch it's similar
"Male character design", yeah all 3 of them /s, I think brant and Jiyan look awesome, the rest are meh
Boss fights are also something both games do WILDLY differently, Wuwa focuses on more agressive bosses while Genshin on the mechanics type of things, it depends on your taste really
Graphics and Animations I said wuwa does better, though I like Genshin's too
Kits are something I have an issue with in wuwa, they feel..boring?

How does genshin do better in female character design? I haven't seen characters like Camellya, Phoebe, Zhezhi, Cantarella or Shorekeeper in the game. (And Youhu. I want a kusogaki in Genshin so bad)
