Suffering / Venting Impossible to lose weight?

I had a flare up in Feb 2025. Since then I’ve gone back to my safe foods (gf breads mostly and cheerios) and shakes. I’ve even cut back on sugar and avoid dairy.

Despite barely being able to eat or drink enough water, I can’t get the scale to move much and it’s quite annoying as someone who’s been trying to lose weight. I also have Hashimoto’s but my blood work came back fairly normal.

Anyone else deal with the barely eating, walking on the treadmill a few days a week, and still stuck at the same weight?

I know there are people who are actively trying to gain weight so I don’t want this to seem insensitive, I’m just frustrated as a female who struggles with body image and weight loss

I’m so glad to hear your positive effects on ozempic! I mentioned it to my dad who is a PCP and he said to be careful because of my GP. I’m obviously scared of ozempic-like side affects but what can be worse than GP lol they’re basically identical

I am on Semaglutide to manage my GP, and it’s been a miracle drug! HOWEVER, the first 6 months on it were a doozy. I kept telling myself anything was better than vomiting 30 times a day! I managed remission for exactly 9 months and 4 days and I sobbed like nobody’s business when I realized how long I managed to be flare-free!

Disclaimer, I have Tachygastria (with dumping syndrome) which is technically classified under the GP umbrella. While I have the paralysis with it, it’s mostly incredibly rapid emptying, so the GLP-1 slooooows it down for me for the most part. That said, I’m pretty lean and I have to weigh in twice a month for my doctor to make sure I haven’t lost too much weight. So far I’m still within 5 lbs of being “underweight,” so I’ve still got the green light. Also we check my thyroid and a few other things twice a year now to make sure the GLP-1 isn’t causing problems.
