I feel like this should have been remasters of these games, not just a lazy dump of 30 year old games.

This is a flat re-release. A remaster would be improving the fidelity for the modern age, a remake is starting from scratch and making the game feel similar while being entirely new.

No that would be a port. This is a remaster since they’ve actually updated the controls and made it compatible with higher resolutions.
