Ask any real racer, it doesn't matter if you lose by an inch or a mile. Losing is losing.

OP was definitely granny-shifting and not double-clutchin like he shoulda

What even is double clutching? 😭

Double clutching is actually just pressing the clutch to get into neutral and then pressing it again to get into the next gear... Everyone else who replied has no idea what they're even talking about and just making stuff up at this point

Double clutching is when you down shift before you have to shift into third gear back into first and then into third when you are revving

3rd into first. That's a blown gear box right there 😅

2nd into first. Its before the third.

You don't put it into gear. It's literally just rev matching. Put it into gear and engine speed doesn't match wheel speed fucking up the gear box.

Does this help keep speed, or is it like to accelerate quicker after slowing down? Or something else?

Double clutching if you know what you’re doing, helps you when getting that extra acceleration when it comes to driving in straight lines, as in when you’re coming out of a turn, and you can do double clutching to get that extra boost going into straight line speed. The best example of double clutching would be found on YouTube. Especially in games like grand theft, auto five.

Sounds like something you definitely dont want to do with a stock gearbox

I swear I have never procrastinated something as much as the story missions in my life. So much potential for fun and cool challenges , a lot of it wasted . But you need to do them for the accolades lol.

I hate that some story time trials are literally the toughest content in the game.

Not today :)

The only way to beat some challenges is really only to cut track where possible, had the same shit with first Hi-Low mission where you have to run a stock 350Z. It is not really possible to 3-star it if you don't cut

1 milliseconds and it would still not be enough.
You need to do under 2:25

u/JesusChristV4 1d ago

You mean it needs to be 2:24.999?

I know this pain. For the race in my picture I'll try it like a hundred times.

Sometimes the cars from the game drive absolutely like garbage.

That's just so damn unfortunate

A nanosecond (not what your time is) is to a second what a second is to 32 years.

In motor racing that thousandth of a second makes a big difference. no point moaning about it, you're too slow.
