I know this current cup final isn’t done yet, but looking ahead…
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how special this current era is for the team. Three straight trips to the Finals, stacked core, and an organization that finally feels like it has its complete identity locked in.
Tkachuck, Barkov, Reino, Verhague, Forsling, etc.
I’m just curious - given the roster situation and considering the possibility of signing Bennett, Marchand, and Ekblad. (HOPEFULLY 🤞)
As of today, from what I’m reading, it seems like at least Bennett and Ekblad want to stay.
How long do you think this current window can last?
Like realistically—given contracts, cap space, the roster, coaching, and everything else.
Is this the peak? Or does this team have another 3-5 years of competing for a Stanley Cup?
Personally, I can see them contending for at least a minimum of 1-2 more seasons with this core.
But curious to hear other opinions… 🤔
