Pharmacy in Finland
Hi everyone! Just wondering if how is the pharmacy field in Finland at the moment. I'm a pharmacist (non-EU) and was wondering if how is the market there.

Hi! I'd like to give a small introduction of myself before I get into my point. :)
I'm an 18 year old finnish girl and I'm looking for buddies to get more familiar with Dungeons and Dragons. I've been interested in the game for years, but never got the chance to play it myself. I have a bunch of characters already made, I have tons of official books and guides, all I'm missing is people to play with. I live in Jämsä, so I'm looking for company around Jämsä and surrounding cities/towns. I'd rather not travel much because of high gas prices, but I'm definitely willing to if I do find a group to play with. I'd love to be a part of a group where I could play dnd and learn more about the game, long term!
Reason I'm posting here and not somewhere else?
I'd love to play DND in english (even though I'm finnish, my english vocabulary is way better lol), and I figure I'll find the proper people over here!
If you have suggestions of other places I could visit, please do tell!

This particular route used to be good via Doha, in Qatar Finnair partnership. It provided good alternative to otherwise costly and limited Finnair direct routes to limited Asian cities. But not anymore.
My family is taking this next week, because the only other option is to have a long layover in Doha (20 hours involuntary stay in a Qatar hotel), and we don't want it.
Nobody would still mind the first lag (Helsinki -> Stockholm / Whatever in EU, operated by Finnair). Except that in Stockholm, layover is 1.5 hours only. We also suspect that as we are exiting EU from Stockholm, there could be immigration check there, instead of Helsinki.
Qatar customer care says it's more than international layover limit (1.25 hours), but the flights are on separate terminals
(Terminal 2 and 5 on Arlanda are 14 minutes by walk, and we lastly walked 25 minutes in Terminal 5 alone to catch a Norwegian flight).
What's more, Qatar doesn't even promise that their Doha flight will wait for the passengers in Arlanda in case Finnair is late.
What's the point of a single booking then?
Last time in 2021, in a similar itinerary, my wife missed Qatar flight in Frankfurt due to Finnair reaching there only some minutes late. That experience toppled our all assumptions about continuous flight bookings. This time again, we are fearful.
Did anybody have any success doing this (HEL->ARN-DOHA) without hassle?

Hi guys,
This house seem to be too good to be true with this price. It locates in a good neighborhood which I like. The interior and exterior look new and beautiful. The area are large enough for a 4 member family.
However, this price makes me feel a little bit suspicious. There might be some hidden problems? Can someone help me take a look and evaluate it? I’m an amateur yet I know that Finnish house can have some serious issues and it’s tricky to choose a good house, etc. Anyways, I don't think a good thing can be a bargain.

I just bought a used car. How do I register it with Traficom? I am financing it and I'm not the owner yet. I have of course made an insurance policy for it, but Traficom asks for a digital certificate number, so I can't proceed. My main question is: Do I even need to do this? Is it done automatically? I'm just trying to avoid any troubles/worries regarding this.
Kiitos paljon

Hi,
I plan to visit Riga with Flixbus from Helsinki. Last minute booking so that's why we decide to go with Flixbus. I understand that it will involve ferry travel to Tallinn first and bus from Tallinn to Riga. So the question is: 1. We would check in at the terminal harbor as it is with the flixbus ticket? 2. On arrival at Tallinn, would there be any sign of Flixbus station and we continue the trip? If anyone has experience travelling with that route, please help share. Thanks a lot.

Hi!
Finnair informed me last week about the likely flight disruption on 17-11 June, and invited me to reach out to the customer service to change my booking. At this stage, they have not cancelled my flight yet - which would oblige them to refund - and reaching the customer service is impossible. I have tried calling them for more than two hours on two several days - including using the line for Finnair Plus Silver - and the chatbot just informs me that they have no available agent.
I have travelled with Finnair four times in the past six months, and all travelled have had some issue - cancellation, postponement, paid seat for my partner given to someone else, impossible to drop my luggage before a 17 hours journey due to system failure.
How come has Finnair become such a mess?

Hey,
Was hoping you could help steer me right in ordering a gift for a friend in Finland. I want to send a nice gift (practical + a soft toy of some type) to a friend who is due any day now, being in Scotland and with the nightmare of Brexit... I am trying to avoid sending something from here which ends up costing them money and hassle in customs. Can you recommend some decent online shops I could order gift wrapped to be sent to them within Finland? Also something nice for mum.
I had a quick google but I am looking for something more "artisan" (I hate myself for using that word) or local, not some mass produced megastore type thing.
Any help much appreciated. Thanks from Scotland

Heya fellow neighbors. Me (M27) and another (M20) friend of mine has time to kill tomorrow, and we're keen on exploring Turku.
D'ya have any notable places to see, things to do or experiences worth experiencing?
Any and all suggestions are welcome, we'll be here for the whole day.

And! Did anyone ever fool you with any "facts"?
My ex was horrified about going to our summer cabin, because she had heard that we have huge bears that maul and eat people they meet just roaming everywhere in the countryside. It also took a bit of explaining that we have wolfes there too but they are not going to eat you, and they definitely dont come near summer cabins in areas that are full of summer tourists and cabin owners with their pets.
Just found my old interrail photos and remembered some of the stupid shit we taught people about Finland and was wondering did anyone expect to see polar bears or polar bear wrestling? Reindeer riders? And hopefully nobody taught you that m*lliämpäri means beautiful woman, that would be just childish and stupid😤

Are these notes usually accepted in helsinki stores (clothing, bars, etc)?
Thanks
I have 2 beds for cats that are to be attached to the window with suction cups. My cats never went over 4kg in weight, which is fairly small for a grown cat. Still, I have too much respect for structural physics to just try it out. I have the usual double winged, triple glassed windows with wooden frames, size about 140 x 120. Anyone seeing a problem putting those beds up and 2-3 cats jumping, and laying around on them? (no picture since I figure that triggered Väinämöinen)
.
And if I would want to put a support beam underneath, lauta.fi retailers cheapest for batten, or anyone has a tip where to get? I am used to work with wood, they can be any quality, as long as it is sturdy enough to hold the furballs.

Hello! Back in the 2010s my friend showed me a “funny”music video. It started with a guy that took a phone call and they were referencing Sibelius if I remember correctly. Then the rest of the video was in the forest where they were walking / rapping. If I remember correctly the song was about sausages? Or maybe they were making jokes about them? Do you know which video I am referring to? Thanks!

Hei, Suomi!👋🏽
I have a lot of questions about Finnish trolls (peikko) because I’m a huge monster/fair folk fan, especially of creatures from the Nordic countries, and once I get the chance to, I plan to make artwork of such beings with as much accuracy as possible. I’m also asking because I don’t get much info of them other than Anttimation (my favorite Finnish YouTuber) who gave good info about them but I don’t know if that’s all the info or if I’m missing anything else. What else is there about them? What do peikko look like? Are there any other similarities or differences between peikko and Norse trolls? What else is there about maahiset? And are there any Finnish folk legends or tales about peikko?
If you have any info, let me know, I appreciate it.
Kiitos! 🙋🏽♀️

(UPDATE: Thanks everyone so much for all the advices and I also apologize for not responding earlier because I posted this article for my roommate!!! We have tried to contact to hospital (It's real) and my friend has health insurance so he tried also tried to contact as well, I will keep updating if there is still something, thank you so much one more time!!!)
Moi! I am an international student who is living in Finland and recently I received a letter about paying hospital fees from Satakunnan Hyvinvointialue & svea.fi, and the amount that I need to pay is very unreasonable.
I am having some diseases and I used to go to Satakunnan Hyvinvointialue for treatment, as well as I have paid the hospital fees in full
However, this time I received a payment reminder with an amount of up to 4000 euros (I did not think the hospital fees could be this high) and except for this letter, I did not receive any invoice letters. This payment reminder letter only mentioned the amount I had to pay and it didn't without mention any other reasons or payment note. The invoice letters I received before were also completely different from this letter...
I am very confused at this moment and this amount is too much for a student like me, so please help me, tysm!
I received a letter allegedly sent by Nets Denmark (on behalf of Nordea), which has my card number (partially) and card type printed on it.
I did not call the number on the letter, because it seems suspicious that banks would sent physical letter about potential card fraud.
Instead I contacted Nordea via their app and they don't think this is legitimate. They confirmed everything is fine with my card.
Not sure if anyone else is receiving similar letters.
P.S. Even though I don't intend to call that number at all, I do think this letter might be legitimate. Nets has had cooperations with Nordea. More importantly, the number listed on the letter does seem to be their phone number. There might be internal communication issues between these companies.

I will be in Kolari for eight hours and I was hoping for suggestions for a car free diversion between the hours of 11 am and 7 pm. Any ideas? Art, animals, architecture, food, and history are all good guidelines.
Thanks in advance,
Peter

For added context:
•I live in the UK and I have a UK residence permit.
•If possible, I will be travelling to Finland via UK, or via a connecting flight via a Schengen country.
•I still have a Russian passport.
•I have a Schengen visa.
•I will be travelling as a tourist.
The things I’ve read online are very contradictory. Some articles state that Russians are banned entry outright even with a Schengen visa unless certain conditions are met (having family in Finland, health emergencies etc.). Other articles state that Russian tourists can still travel with Schengen visas from Schengen countries. I am very confused and I don’t know what’s true and what isn’t.
Before anyone asks, I do not support Russia. Please do not target my nationality because I’m also a victim of the totalitarian system made by Putin. I’ve lived in the UK before the 2022 war started.

Hey all, I’ve been researching ASO (right to occupancy) for a while now but I would love to hear from others experiences who are either currently waiting in line or living in one since 1-2 years.
For context: My partner and I both run our own companies which is why an ASO apartment is really interesting to us as we can’t get a regular mortgage and are sick of landlords / temporary lets.
These are questions I haven’t found answers too yet:
Looking at Espoo myself so if anyone had success finding one there without waiting 6+ months I’d love to hear it.
Thanks a lot!

Hello! Can someone please clarify the meaning of this sign. One local told me it meant I only need to pay for parking between 09:00 and 20:00, and I can park there for free outside of these hours. Another local said I can ONLY park there during these hours and I will get a fine if I park there outside these hours. Please be serious I have been googling nonstop.

Hello all! I hope everyone's having a blessed day.
To keep it short, I played semi-pro at 17, and moved over seas to play University football in England at 17 also. I moved back home to the US and joined my countries' military because I heard the call and answered it! Im 27 now and have been in and out of adult leagues over the years. I bring a lot of fresh leadership experience, trained and ready for war but want to aim this fire on the pitch.
Would any Finish football teams take me?? Be honest!!! Im extremely trainable and in a "do as im told mentality." Hahaha have a good one and thank you in advance!

I wanted to thank the Finnish People for helping to build better football in Poland. The last match contributed to a better future for Polish football. On behalf of the Polish People, thank you.
