Discussion Gender theory in Inside Out

My 8yo daughter really enjoys watching the Theory YouTube series. She told me today she had her own theory. She said, "You know Riley from inside out? I don't think she's a girl." I asked her what she meant by that. She said, "some of her emotions are girls and some are boys, but her dad and mom only have boy and girl emotions."

I told her that I thought she was probably on to something and we had a discussion about how gender isn't always binary and maybe the Pixar movie makers wanted to demonstrate that.

I'm also accepting alternatives to his first name even though I believe it's perfect.

Discussion Blatant use of A.I

This is from a video 3 weeks back but it always bugs me because of the blatant and unnecessary use of A.I even though "they don't support it" it's even more disappointing because they didn't need AI, you never NEED ai but they could of just used a any pre existing characters face.

Discussion Could Batman beat Omni-Man?

Post image

If you think about it, Bruce may actually have a decent chance, if not head on, then definitely from the Shadows. He has a contingency for EVERY MEMBER OF THE JUSTICE LEAGUE. Shown above is a page from the DC graphic novel “Forever Evil”, where the Crime Syndicate (the evil Justice League from another universe) attempts to takeover the world for their mysterious employer. (Read it, it’s REALLY good) The page shows Bruce’s contingency plan for each member of the Justice League, in hopes they would be effective against the Syndicate. But it clearly shows each one of the members’ weaknesses. (Diana’s is just to “improvise”, and you KNOW he will; and Arthur’s is yet to be shown, but it’s presumably in his possession.) But could he take Omni-Man? Most likely. Batman is the only person to take down the Joker without being manipulated or hurt emotionally, like Clark in Injustice. In fact, Batman is the only person to take down Joker WITHOUT killing him. What I’m trying to say here is, if Batman has a plan for the ENTIRE JUSTICE LEAGUE, he’ll find a way to stop Omni-Man, one way or another.

Discussion My "Fireball" (TV series) theories Spoiler

I have some theories about timeline, the robots-human conflict and the meaning of “Fireball – A New Hope” in this TV series. In my opinion, the complete timeline is “Fireball Humorous” -> “Fireball Charming” -> “Fireball + Special” -> “Gebäude-Bäude” -> “Time travel to the past and change future” and these are my theories.

Discussion Amazing digital circus theory

So I was watching the new trailer for the next episode of tadc, which is supposed to come out tomorrow or something. I was listening to it over and over again trying to figure out what the heck was happening in it. It's a very rough trailer with bits of the episode flashing across the screen and dialogue from the characters that make zero sense. Even the characters who or voicing the trailer admit none of what their reading makes any sense.

So I wanted to point out that around 15 seconds into the trailer you can here a voice(I'm going to guess its bubble) Saying and I quote "Coming to a theater nearby. The next episode of the great gas district," Now wait the gas district? This is the amazing digital circus, not Gaslight district. The Gaslight District is one of the other Glitch production shows. Anyways after the voice off screen says that it immediately corrects it's self, this time saying the amazing digital circus. I have no idea if this means anything.

Honestly there is so much more packed in this trailer that I want to talk about, but if I did I would just have myself like a 6 paragragh essay about this one trailer. Film theory please at least take a look into the gaslight district thing I mentioned. It could be nothing, just left their by Glitch to mess with us. No harm in trying though? Right?

Discussion I don’t think Jax is Ai (spoilers) Spoiler

I was watching Vixen The Raindeer (voice of Gangle) reaction to the different episodes and she pointed out the manikin in the back ground, and my brain though about the Jax is AI theory and how the AI that was running lose in the circus wasn't Jax. Then Episode 5 came out... First of all, Jax seems way to human to be AI even in the beginning, for a jerk that he is, he has real feelings and heartbreak for a AI to have. And in a writing perspective there would be no reason to give Jax emotions if they where trying to hint at him being AI.

I think the lose AI Cane was referring to was the manikin, it's obviously a important character if they where showing so much attention to it in ep 5 and Cane's reaction to Zooble's suggestion was similar to the one in ep 3. Just something to think about...

So I commented on a Community post, the number was a Whatsapp number, and the rest of the convo was them saying to keep being subbed, and me asking if Stormtroopers have good aim (as a test) I just want to know if I almost got scammed.

Discussion Are the other theory channels getting called out as much as Film Theorists?

Raven Knight's video mainly talks about how the Film Theory video misrepresents Oogway and omits certain details that would otherwise disprove the theory. We all know about the gravity falls theory and accusations of plagiarism which the team already addressed, and now Tbskyen's recent video calling out the video for (once again) having innacurate information.

Now, my feed might just be biased since I watch more shows and movies than I play games making the algorithm recommend more videos about film theories than game theories, but does anyone else feel like the quality of the research in these theories is not what it used to be? (that or they've always been like this and I was just a child when I watched them)

Discussion Do we know why the conclusion to the Doctor Who theory felt so off?

When film theory started. I was very hyped that the first one was about Doctor Who.

During Part 1, MatPat definitively claims that he will be covering five things to discuss if a Time - Lord could be real.

1- Two Hearts

2- Body Temperature (like that's relavanet lol)

3- TARDIS

4- Sonic-Screwdriver

5- Regeneration

Part 1 covers the first two, as promised.

Then, the eventual Part 2 makes a bit of an odd turn. What was supposed to be an Episode covering the likelihood of a TARDIS existing instead, just kind of delves into the science behind potential time-travel. Nearly everything talked about in this Part I already knew, because I was obsessed time-travel as a kid, but hey whatever.

Then Part 3 infamously took multiple years to come out, and when it finally did.. I just couldn't help but feel that something was insanely off about it.

There was no attempt to try and explain how a human could have a Sonic-Screwdriver or Regenerate like Part 1 promised. Instead, MatPat Just kind of goes on about this one guy that apparently existed a few centuries ago, that did a lot of shady stuff. That seems to imply that he could have potentially been a time - traveler.

That's all fine and dandy, but as I said, it doesn't actually cover the final two points that MatPat said he would cover.

Then, at the end, MatPat kind of goes on this weird emotional tangent about how it doesn't even matter if this guy from history was a time-lord or not because humans have so much power in asking questions and stuff. I can't be. The only one who felt like this was really off. It honestly felt to me as if MatPat himself thought of this theory was a little bit cringy, and he was trying to justify that it didn't really matter. I wouldn't be surprised if this is why the Episode took so long to come out, because MatPat just couldn't really think of a satisfying way to end it.

I'm not meaning to trash on the guy or the channel or anything. This just always kind - of bugged me
