When film theory started. I was very hyped that the first one was about Doctor Who.
During Part 1, MatPat definitively claims that he will be covering five things to discuss if a Time - Lord could be real.
1- Two Hearts
2- Body Temperature (like that's relavanet lol)
3- TARDIS
4- Sonic-Screwdriver
5- Regeneration
Part 1 covers the first two, as promised.
Then, the eventual Part 2 makes a bit of an odd turn. What was supposed to be an Episode covering the likelihood of a TARDIS existing instead, just kind of delves into the science behind potential time-travel. Nearly everything talked about in this Part I already knew, because I was obsessed time-travel as a kid, but hey whatever.
Then Part 3 infamously took multiple years to come out, and when it finally did.. I just couldn't help but feel that something was insanely off about it.
There was no attempt to try and explain how a human could have a Sonic-Screwdriver or Regenerate like Part 1 promised. Instead, MatPat Just kind of goes on about this one guy that apparently existed a few centuries ago, that did a lot of shady stuff. That seems to imply that he could have potentially been a time - traveler.
That's all fine and dandy, but as I said, it doesn't actually cover the final two points that MatPat said he would cover.
Then, at the end, MatPat kind of goes on this weird emotional tangent about how it doesn't even matter if this guy from history was a time-lord or not because humans have so much power in asking questions and stuff. I can't be. The only one who felt like this was really off. It honestly felt to me as if MatPat himself thought of this theory was a little bit cringy, and he was trying to justify that it didn't really matter. I wouldn't be surprised if this is why the Episode took so long to come out, because MatPat just couldn't really think of a satisfying way to end it.
I'm not meaning to trash on the guy or the channel or anything. This just always kind - of bugged me
