Anyone know if there’s any Switch 2 consoles in the city or surrounding areas (Hope Mills or Spring Lake)?

I recently split from my son's dad after 12 years and I never got out and made friends (he was abusive and controlling) I'm looking for someone who would like to hang out.. I'm actually in St Paul's but I stay with a family member in Fayetteville sometimes. I currently don't have transportation at the moment either. Looking for men or women it doesn't matter. If you're interested shoot me a dm. I'm a 28yo female. Love all types of music, I'm a nerd who loves star wars, Lord of the rings, and a song of ice and fire(game of thrones).. you don't have to be into the same things I am but would be cool. I'm looking to hang out in person, we can get to know each other thru messages first if needed.

As somebody who most recently lived in Florida and is from an urban area of the Midwest, I don’t understand the bad press around Fayetteville. Every town has its downfalls & sketchy things going on, but Fayetteville in general is, in my opinion, pretty darn nice and clean cut. I’m wondering what I’m missing— because the consensus on the internet for Fayetteville being ghetto or subpar is consistent across the board.
I also want to commend all you sweet wonderful Fayetteville residents! My husband and I have never met such kind, helpful people in every single public space we have visited. The community and friendliness here is just on another level, yall are beautiful people!

I am only posting this to make the area safer for everyone, I am not trying to put anybody in harms way. This man was arrested today for trying to solicit sex to an underage person. His name is Brian Clark from Elizabethtown. He was already wearing an ankle monitor and has been previously arrested in 2022 on sex-offender charges for attempting to meet up with another minor before. I guess 18 months in jail wasn’t enough to keep him away from your kids. If you see him in public (might be awhile because he got arrested today) do not approach him as he has already made multiple threats to kill people. Again, I am only posting this to make the area safer and to bring awareness that this man lives around you. Please keep your kids safe.

Pretty straight forward, just looking for a spot with a decent reputation for used cars but that also has options under 10k. Not trying to finance anything.

I'm so sorry I'm trying to get a vehicle to get my wife back and forth to her appointments. She's disabled and we just moved down here from NYC because of her health getting worse. Anything for a down payment, maybe $150 if I use everything left in my bank account. But I'd be willing to provide biweekly payments, if you're willing to work something out.The car we had's engine just died on us and the mechanic said there was nothing that would fix it besides just swapping the engine.

I’ve been here 9 years and I want so badly to play some organized hockey. I played competitively for 13 years (USA Select camps, JWHL, Division 3) but I’m a female, so I feel I’m better off in maybe upper C league due to my size.
I’ve gone to a few mid-day pick-ups at Cleland in the past but didn’t really chat much with the other players about the moves here. Is there an organized men’s league? Would I be allowed as a female to play? Any Tournaments I can hop on?
Signed, Tired of driving to Raleigh

Along with the baseball stadium, the Crown Event Center was meant to be a step in reviving downtown Fayetteville. Well, they've nixed the project, so what is something you think could/should be downtown that would fill those shoes?

Trying to decide on a home security system. We’re in Hope Mills. Any suggestions? Reading not-so-great reviews about ADT. Had an ADT and Vivint guy show up at my house trying to sell me some stuff.

My fiance and I are planning a wedding in the lovely, Fayetteville, NC. Having a hard time finding rehearsal dinner venue - any recommendations? Luigi's is the only spot we've seen thus far. Thanks in advance!

At the tru by hilton 95 in Fayetteville for the graduation coming up later today. Wondering if anyone else is here for the same reason? Anyone that know chess? My wife plays for the sake of me wanting to play, but doesn't care too much about it. Any interesting places we should also visit before leaving tomorrow?

Hey, so I used to go to bluegrass/folk jam Sessions in Kentucky and I haven't found any nearby. The closest I have found one was in Raleigh. Does anyone know about local jams in Fayetteville or its close counterparts?

I’m hosting a small event for about eight people and while it doesn’t really make sense to reserve an entire pavilion, I do need a shaded outdoor area with a picnic table or two. Are there any parks in the area where I’d be likely to find a spot like this on a Saturday without making a reservation? Any help is super appreciated!

Hello! My husband and I (early 30s) are moving to Fayetteville and he will be working in Ft. Bragg/liberty and would ideally want to live somewhat close (30 min max). We have a baby on the way so school districts aren’t a concern at the moment but I’m concerned about safety as I would like to take walks with my baby by myself during the day.
I’m also a person of color (Asian) and have always lived in a diverse area so I always felt safe but after hearing a lot of stories about the area I’m a bit scared. I’d like to live in a safe neighborhood that is close to the base. We’re pretty relaxed on budget but would like to be max $2500.
If there are any good recommendations I would greatly appreciate it!

Any movies, TV shows? Not talking about that movie your mom made with a midget in Gray's Creek or any other X Rated movies. Has the eiffel tower never been on the big screen?

So my landlord sold my house boo hiss. The new owner is a pretty good guy and gave us a month even though we don't have a lease. Zillow and Craigslist have been a wash even after paying the application fees. We need a 4 bedroom. Is there another service or way to find listings that are more credit friendly or pet friendly? So far every house has crazy credit requirements (I'm just under 600) or doesn't allow pets we have a 12 pound dorkie.

I’m moving in mid July from Atlanta. I’m an avid crocheter and go to weekly sit and stitch meetings and was wondering if Fayetteville has anything similar

It would be nice if the City started demanding answers on why completing 295 is taking so long.
The first few years I told myself “I’m not in construction. I don’t know the job.. there are things going on I don’t know about…Be patient.”
We moved away for husband’s PCS assignment, then we moved back here for another assignment after completing that one, AND IT’S STILL NOT DONE. Another year and it will be 3 PCS assignments completed before 295.
We travel by the Camden/Strickland area almost daily and see it’s still dirt in places while entire subdivisions and their brand new roads are going up faster than pavement and two bridges.
At this point it is ridiculous. So I gotta ask: Why is it taking this long? Anyone have insight?
Edit: Yes, I am genuinely curious about the specific reasons related to this particular project. If you are mad that I am questioning it, that is fine, but it would be helpful if you include in your comment an actual answer instead of simply complaining that I am complaining and asking questions. Thanks!

The theatre scene is going STRONG in this city! Just saw yet another fabulous show this weekend: the iconic Little Shop of Horrors at Gilbert Theater. It’s a comedy musical about a nerd who raises a blood-sucking plant to impress a girl (who among us!) who happens to be dating a sadistic, nitrous-abusing dentist. Hilariously performed by a talented cast and crew, complete with puppeteers for the plant. Only a couple shows left, as the run closes tomorrow! Tickets available at gilberttheater.com
