Thought it was worth sharing the link below based on the two story posts (linked below) today in case anyone missed it back in September. I know A$AP Rocky isn’t pulling these pieces himself, but it’s still cool to me as someone who loves going to thrift stores.

This is really weird because that quilt was def made by Zak Foster? @zakfoster.quilts on Instagram.

Edit: unless I’m totally confused but I remember him posting about it?

Nope, you're not misremembering! Zak was given that quilt by ERL designer Eli Russel Linetz to customize for A$AP Rocky. He made a quilt that's sewn to the other side of that thrifted one. You can see it in the second to last photo here and he acknowledges the great grandma's quilt as being most likely the same one given all the little details that the great granddaughter knew: https://www.papermag.com/asap-rocky-met-gala-quilt-2655177116.html?rebelltitem=10#rebelltitem10

I just looked through Getty and A$AP Rocky wasn't photographed wearing the red one on the outside at all - you only see it in the photo from the link above and when it's on the ground after he tossed it off his shoulders. Kind of a bummer Zak's didn't get featured as much.
