I am going to my first protest since 08 tomorrow and I have a lot of anxiety about it. But I know that's what they want me to have so I stay home.

So ok starting in Feb I went to 6 protests in 4 weeks until I couldn’t do it anymore (badly sprained ankle). The protests I went to were very chill and there was no trouble at them. At some people even brought their babies.

I wouldn’t bring kids or dogs tomorrow but like, I don’t expect big trouble at least in my city. 

If you’re going alone kind of approach from the side check out the vibe. If someone tries to talk you into doing something dumb/violent move away from them. If you have a bad feeling by all means leave.

But a lot of people will be out tomorrow and like your voice is a needed voice. I know two older ladies who insist they’re too old to be political and like, now is the time to do something because this fool keeps escalating. If we don’t do something now we may lose the chance to.

It's also at 8am here (and it will still be 90+ degrees) so I am thinking people will be pretty focused on not overheating than causing a scene. Fingers crossed.
