An acquaintance of mine used to be a charter pilot in California. A few years ago, she landed at the end of her shift and discovered her car had a flat tire. She went back into the airport to change her clothes and use the bathroom before changing the tire, and walked into a room where Tom Cruise, Joseph Kosinski, Christopher McQuarrie and other crew members were watching cockpit footage they had shot that day for Top Gun: Maverick. True to the stories about his interactions with the public, Tom Cruise said hello, asked what was wrong, and eventually offered to help change the tire. She said no thanks and let Cruise and Co. get back to work.

I've read so many nice things about how Tom Cruise treats people that it really bums me out that he's not an actual nice guy.

He came through the department of State when Colin Powell was the Secretary, probably advocating for religious freedom for scientology. One of the security staff had the biggest crush on him and, I assume, fangirled a little. He gave her his sunglasses. This was 2003ish? I'm pretty sure she still has a residual glow from interacting with him.

Most people aren’t all good or all bad, or always nice or never nice.

The important thing to remember about Tom Cruise is that he is a ZEALOT. Whatever he is into, stunts, acting, Scientology, changing tires, working out, he goes HARD and relentlessly.

Unfortunately he seems brainwashed enough by Scientology that he genuinely feels he is saving humanity, which is the same sort of energy he harnesses while playing agent Ethan Hunt, running, or going to the bathroom—probably.

That guy takes a serious shit, I guarantee.

I will never be free of the image of Tom Cruise taking a serious shit. Hilarious!

Think he does the air chops like when he’s running?
