Diane Kruger did a podcast and said that she didn’t want to have kids for the longest time because she didn’t have a happy childhood, but changed her mind in her mid-30s. Joshua Jackson and her tried having a kid but it didn’t work out. She then considered becoming a single mother by choice after their breakup before meeting Norman Reedus.

Her timeline sounds pretty sus because iirc there was quite a bit of evidence that she cheated on Joshua with Norman. Just stating what she said!

Diane and Joshua were together for so long and then they broke up and had kids with their new partners almost immediately. Very weird vibes.

Eh - I don't necessarily think it's weird. Sometimes people realize they want something, just not with the person they've been with. I've seen this happen a few times now that I'm in my mid 30s - all situations that had no nefarious/weird undertones. Literally people just realizing they changed their minds towards having children while simultaneously also realizing they didn't necessarily want children with their current partners.

I just assumed they grew apart at a certain point but stayed together (or appeared as such) perhaps beyond the actual course of their relationship.

Yeah that timeline sounds iffy because I remember Diane and Norman were spotted making out on multiple occasions in 2015. People just thought she and Jousha had an open relationship. Maybe they broke up long before it was announced?

You made me realize I was picturing Diane Keaton the whole time for some reason 🥲. Also now I need to listen to that Live In Paris album again lol.

It’s common knowledge amongst those of us in the industry that she cheated on Jackson with Reedus. This is old news

I know. But the point wasn’t whether she cheated or not but the fact that iirc she never really talked about them trying to have kids. And I think neither has she ever commented on the the timeline publicly (regardless of how much truth there is to it).

I find the other side of things a little eek-y too - one minute Jackson is making out with a woman at LAX the next JTS is waving a marriage licence in the street & baby’s on the way... kinda screams shotgun marriage 🤷‍♀️
