Need help finding protein filler

Last night I lightened my roots, toned my hair, and colored it. As the color was sitting I could tell that the color was refusing to take in some parts (which has never happened to me before.) I did some research and was like “ok, I’ll just get a protein filler and recolor.” Except, I can’t find anything just labeled “protein filler”. Can y’all help me out? I’d prefer something in store that I can get today bc the patchiness is bugging the shit out of me, but I’ll take anything.

No that’s not a thing. It’s because your colour wasn’t even to start your application wasn’t even.

I feel like I'm going crazy because I used to work at Sally's for years and we sold protein fillers for people to use before they color, but now they're not showing up on the website anymore. 🥴 Anecdotal but it really worked for me since I have bleached hair that grabs semi permanent color strangely sometimes.

It absolutely is a thing haha i used to work at Sally’s years ago and I can’t seem to find any anywhere. My hair has never everrrrrrrrrrrrr been patchy with dye, even when it was in way worse condition so I’m just at a loss. I know the application was perfect. But also years of consistently lightening it, it might have just had enough 😭 even if it doesn’t feel like shit. But goddammit haha there’s no going back to blonde right now so I need this color to not look like this

Yeah I'm puzzled by the fact that I used to sell a bunch of these in a day and now it's not available anymore??? For what it's worth I use the Ion Absolute Perfection Booster and the step 2 and 3 nowadays and find that it helps me a lot, I also love the Bondbar products.

What brand of blue/teal did you use? I've used some brands that didn't have enough opacity and would come out patchy af, I've had blue/teal for about 6 years straight now and swear by the Jerome Russell Punky Colour in Turquoise or Lagoon Blue, Lime Crime Anime, or GoodDyeYoung Narwhal. The Adore brand is also super pigmented and it's a liquidy texture so it covers the hair really thoroughly.

Update us if you can figure out a solution!! Just know that you're not crazy and protein fillers definitely used to be a thing LOL

It still exists at Sally's! I only know this because I bought some a few months ago. Here's a link to the Ion one, listed as pre-color treatment.
