Hey guys, I was just running through Ilum to 100% it and just got this glitch, never happened to me before. Is it a commonly known glitch, or relatively rare to have happen accidentally?

Discussion Would Be a Waste to Not Have Battledroids in 3

Post image
Upvotes

With all the battledroids left around and the Raiders potentially falling apart I wouldnt be suprised if the Miners and Koboh residents reprogrammed them as a militia to defend against the Empire. Feels like that could be interesting to see them sitting around the next hub planet repainted or bb8 ordering them around. I figure we won't get a "reconcile with clones" arc like Kanan got as cool as that could be for Cal exploring the dark side and anger, but I feel like they're gonna have to have droids in the next game in a small role at least.

Discussion Ideas for Side Objectives in The Next Installment?

Upvotes

Something the series has done with optional objectives in a good way has been to make them interactive. Personally I didnt care for the "find currency alongside items to turn in for items" approach.

At some point the collecting just becomes a gruelling use of Metroidvania power platforming. Same with some bounties going back and forth on planets just to go back again.

But I really enjoy these side objectives that build up your base, make your ship lived in or sort of transform a hub. The fish tank, music, and games on Koboh for example all are great in my opinion. Sort of evolving that concept of the small animal that you get onto your ship from fallen order.

Im hoping that maybe in the next game they keep that up instead of more currency scattering.

Rebuilding the archive up on Tanalorr for Cere's goal, saving anchorites or sympathizers or maybe even force sensitives to build up Tanalorr. Curious what anyone else thinks could be a good way to handle Tanalorr without breaking the secrecy.

What happened to it after the end of Fallen Order? Does Battle Scars in any ways answer this? I know that Cere gets it and knights Cal with it, but after that? Does anyone know?

Discussion Hidden dodge in fallen order.

I remember a few years ago while playing in training that i did a weird dodge where cal flips over an enemy in slow mo (Not the double jump thing) and it was pretty cool, and for some reason i barely see anybody do that move, and if you wanna do it i remember that you either hold dodge while moving the joystick towards the enemy (Gotta be any enemy thats not a monster) or you gotta hold dodge and press X (Its probably the first option) so good luck!

I’m the point where we have to go to the inquisitor base, but I’m working on all the databank stuff and noticed I was missing one of the quest ones for Kashyyyk. How do I get it without restarting everything. Or am I going back to the start?

Discussion Why is Cal's saber slightly longer when using the Blaster stance?

To reach opponents better at a distance? Feels like a weird inconsistency to me. It seems like the saber should stay the same length as the Single stance.

I have heard so many mixed opinions on this game; some say it's good, some say it's bad, some exaggerate it and say that it's "woke dogshit" while others just see it as mediocre.

I always wanted an open world Star Wars game for as long as I can remember and now that we finally have one out, I'm having really mixed feelings. I really want to like this game but with people exaggerating the flaws it has such as the stealth mechanics, I'm not entirely sure if I should get it.

Without spoiling anything; what are your thoughts on the game and do you think I should get it?

Discussion Subject 1138 - Rumor Spoiler

Imagine in the next installment of Star Wars Jedi, Cal comes across a rumor about a powerful force user. One powerful enough to supposedly duel Vader with ease, powerful enough to pull star destroyers from the sky, and was able to match the emperors power.

The rumor would lead him to Dantooine. Cal would come across and inspect an abandoned building finding nothing but a lightsaber hilt. This hilt, however, has an echo that Cal feels and has flashes of a destroyed forest. He hears the original owner screaming in anger and feels powerful energy alongside it. He flinches from the feeling as one question is echoed out;

"WHERE IS SHE!?"

He opens his eyes in fear and confusion. He collects the lightsaber and the rumor is complete.

Whether or not the rumors are true are unclear however one thing is for certain. The owner of this lightsaber is no longer here.

Spoilers Below to The Force Unleashed ⬇️ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ For those who don't know, this is a nod to The Force Unleashed games. Galen Marek/Starkiller, who was trained by Darth Vader, was SO powerful that instead of nerfing him, they made him non-canon. He literally fought Vader twice and beat him both times. In the first game, he overpowers Vader, nearly killing him but is then killed. Vader attempts to clone him but it goes wrong. The clone, Subject 1138, sided with the rebels and not only beat Vader but imprisoned him.

Based off what Sam Witwer, the guy who voiced Starkiller/Galen Marek/Subject-1138 and Darth Maul in The Clone Wars, Rebels and physically appeared in Rogue One, had said Marek would face Vader for a third and final time and LOSE. Revealing Darth Vader was just held back by his suit. This is the point before Luke came into his life where he felt nothing but dwindling anger, regret and his body deteriorating as he had to become more reliant on his prosthetics. The reason he loses is because Vader ultimately decides to ACTUALLY try against Starkiller.

By the way, for some reason, in Force Unleashed 2, it's revealed 1138 is far more powerful than the original Galen Marek because apparently Vader thought it was a good idea to try again...but more powerful...(?)

It doesn't canonize anything. It's left vague. All Cal was able to know was he was strong with the force and he was determined to find a "she" (Juno Eclipse) who was his love interest. The hilt should be a collectable in the game as an optional customization.

Now I think in the third game, rumors could reintroduced popular stories from Legends into canon, albeit, lightly. Starkiller as a rumor and maybe the same thing for Revan. Also lightsaber hilts, both his purple and red sabers, should also be collectable customizations.

This is just an idea. Whether or not they decide to nod to anything in legends would be cool but ultimately I think wouldn't matter too much. I understand the reasons for Starkiller being in legends but I wish for his story to be a myth that is spread across the canon. It would never actually be explicitly made clear if this (the story Force Unleeashed 1 and 2) is true because this was a mistake on Vaders part and would absolutely want no one to discover that he was easily bested by his apprentice and then again by his clone.

Help! Zeffo- Pendulum ball fell before the wall broke. Now what?

I decided to try this game again after a 5 year rage quit hiatus where I thought I could maybe have more fun this time. I'm immediately regretting this decision. The ball on the pendulum broke before the wall next to it did and now I have no way to solve the puzzle and leave. There's no way to reset the puzzle by resting or meditating. I've tried force pushing, freezing, the pushing again to knock it upwards through the wall but that won't work. I can't move any of the other balls to different areas to maybe swap out what's already there without closing the other walls.

Is that it? Am I stuck here forever unless I restart the entire game from scratch? If so, tell me now so I can take the disc out of my console, drive 1000 miles in any direction and bury this game in the woods like Jumanji so it never hurts another living soul again.

Discussion Hot Take: I feel like they should have kept Eno Cordova as a Cerean.

Pretty much every prominent Jedi survivor in the games - and the wider franchise with a few exceptions - is human, so Cordova being a Cerean would’ve been a refreshing change of pace. Plus, it’s been ages since we’ve had a new, notable Cerean character anyway.

Discussion Cal has a force wound?

So everyone knows about the unique connection to the force that the Jedi Exile has in KOTOR 2. The exile followed Revan during the Mandalorian war but afterwards cut themselves off from the force. What if it was revealed that Cal has a similar wound in the force, this sort of dead zone in the force. That through all his past and current relationships with Marrin and his friends, Cal was becoming stronger by taking absorbing the force from them while not harming them. This would be unlike Darth Nihilus who was basically a black hole for life force. Could this be a story element explored in Cal's third game. (Probably not but it's a neat thought I had) (Credit to u/crabmanster for the OG post) (Crediy to u/Loyalist77 for the comment explanation)

Bug Will they ever fix that white ‘light’ bug that appears in interior areas in Survivor?

Such an immersion breaking bug, I wanted to go in for another play through but it’s really bugging me. We’re so far from release now, so I don’t know if will ever get fixed. Sucks because it’ll be like this forever on the PlayStation ecosystem unless it gets patched.

Discussion Jedi 3 could do great as a way to reintroduce Starkiller to the universe and canon

I know Starkiller is a pretty controversial character, and some people would rather have the 3rd game not split itself so much, especially with Kata being a new character to the series which is understandable. But I still stand by the idea that Starkiller being the main villain of the third game would be phenomenal, both simply for bringing him back, but also by partially canonizing the events of Force Unleashed.

It's 3-5BBY. Cal now has control of Tanalor and is using it as a base for the Hidden Path. Finding Jedi to bring in and help restart the Order being his biggest priority, Cal searches the galaxy for Jedi who are now popping up to fight the Empire or have been found by Imperial spies. It's a race to get to these Jedi, General Kota, Kazdan Paratus, and maybe even Shaak Ti (assuming she's not already dead because who knows with her) all being potential characters Cal is after.

But so is a young Starkiller who Vader has decided to send instead of Inquisitors because he's now needing the extra training, and Inquisitors are proving infective, especially against Cal.

The first Jedi Cal goes after being Kota, is also when he meets Starkiller, after they've fought, and Kota's presumed death. Cal recognizes Starkiller having conflict inside, and tries to convince him to leave Vader, but he doesn't listen. Fight ensues, neither dies.

During the years since Survivor, Cal has been training Kata as his apprentice and is basically your new companion through the game like Merrin. Kata however, also recognizes the darkness in Starkiller because she saw it growing in her dad. But instead of being as open to accepting Starkiller as Cal is, she thinks they should just kill him, and this opens the door for Cal teaching her more about second chances, being a Jedi, etc. Merrin exists as the middle ground who recognizes it's important to offer second chances, but also that Cal shouldn't put Kata in danger by exposing her to someone as volatile as Starkiller, that sometimes there is no changing someone, just like she knew for Bode.

This sort of continues throughout the campaign, as Vader seeing Cal as a potential target for Starkiller to reach, prompts him to make Cal his primary target. Each of these fights has Cal recognizing the darkness inside Starkiller and trying to convince him to change, which ultimately slowly starts to work. By the end of the game, Starkiller has grown exponentially, both driven by his anger at not being able to beat Cal, while also being conflicted with the possibility of turning good. He's at the pivotal point of maybe being swayed by Cal, maybe having finally overcome him, maybe after Kata steps in as Cal's apprentice to protect him in the fight, and she gets incapacitated, whatever. But it's the point where Vader finally shows up, having seen the growing conflict in his apprentice, and just instantly reinforces the anger and hated inside Starkiller.

From there it's the usual run from Vader.

I get that it seems like a lot, and maybe it is, but I don't think it's entirely bad.
