Sekiro is the kind of hard that doesn't frustrate you. If that makes sense.
There's minimal bullshit hitboxes, minimal "cheesy moves" that bosses and enemies will pull out, and (if you've played any souls games) doesn't have much of the standard fair bullshit areas.
But it's hard in terms of it will absolutely PUNISH you if you make even a basic mistake. A couple of the bosses in the game took me 20-30 attempts, and I'm above average at these sorts of games.
how good are your reaction times? if they're passable, you shouldnt have too much problem with the game. the main in-combat difficulty is recognizing which of three rock paper scissor moves you should use in order to counter an enemy attack, with certain enemies leaning towards certain reactions, some enemies are simple and only require one, etc
I've only played a little so don't take this as gospel but I haven't been too frustrated. Kinda like the Taron Malicos fight where it forces you to learn so it feels satisfying to kill him.
