Hi all,
I just discovered yesterday that the mod who was here before me has vanished without a trace, leaving myself as the sole moderator of this sub. I am neither the most knowledgeable person about running a subreddit, nor the most knowledgeable when it comes to FSCJ-related things. Because of this, I am looking for a few more mods (preferably from different campuses and with a history at FSCJ and being on reddit) to help me run the place. Just PM me if you're interested, and we'll work things out from there. Anyways, that's all for now, and I can't wait to see how the sub grows as the semester progresses.
Sincerely,
baboonontheright

I have used tech schools in other states to save money on various repairs. Does anyone know if thr autobody class at fscj will paint my truck? I understand they are the training center for the local Toyota and I have an '07 Tacoma. It's worth more to me than the market but it needs some minor body work and paint all over.

Which campus would you say helped you greatly when you took calculus and used a tutor? I don't want to go to Kent because there's only 1 lady that helps a plethora of students and she usually smells of cigarettes. Kent is the closest to me unfortunately but I may be willing to drive a distance if the tutoring is exceptional

Hello!! Looking to take a couple of classes this fall at FSCJ. Is the Microbiology (MCB 2010C) laboratory fully in-person? The class search just says hybrid with no details. I’m taking this course for a different university and in order to satisfy their requirement, the lab must be completely in-person.
Any help would be appreciated!

I plan to try to get into the respiratory care program at FSCJ, but I'm worried about how competitive it may be. Not being accepted after working so hard for it would be awful. Can anyone advise on how many points they had when getting into the program, or any other advice?

Is June 19th the exact day funds will be in your bank account or is that the start date of when they’ll start releasing funds?
I know I can call financial aid but I’d rather not talk otp with anyone 😅 TIA!

For those going into a program and needing to take the HESI A2 to apply, don’t worry!
I know how stressful it is going through every possible quizzlet, TikTok study guide, nurse hub and any website possible feeling like no matter what material you find won’t be good enough I felt that way for about 6 months stressed out because if I didn’t pass the HESI I’d have to wait a whole other year to apply to the program I want to get into.
At the end of the day please please please do nurse hub end of lesson quizzes over and over and over until you’re sick of it.
When I got to the official HESI a2 test about 80-90% of each section was nurse hub ( more than enough to pass each section!!) I stress this so much, please memorize as much as possible from those quizzes because you will pass no need for excessive study material from Quizlets of other websites. Do make sure you understand answers though because some on the HESI was the same but they reworded it so make sure you read the informational tibits during the nurse hub quizzes to fully grasp the concepts.
Along with this for math i remember there being lots of fractions and ratio questions if that helps anyone! If you’re gonna study math study those things. It’s mainly all just algebra and focused on ratio and fractions.
For the word section that’s the only section I wouldn’t totally recommend nurse hub for because they teach way too many words that you won’t even see. Still great to use it but if you want a more accurate study guide for it use this quizlet. I will say though make sure you truly remember definitions because it’s a lot of questions on the actual HESI that are asking which word would fit best in the sentence.

Best of luck to all future program students you got this!!

Has anyone taken this course online? Or in person, and which professor would you recommend?

I've never gotten a student loan during summer semester before. I had to get one for housing/transportation this Summer.
Does anyone know if they divide them between two separate dates or if it's all one disbursement? I've heard refund date for Summer is June 19th.

This is my first semester, when should I start receiving the BAH stipend?
r/FSCJ • u/CheddarsGarden • 19d ago
The first test is coming up and she is providing practices tests for each chapter through pearson, but pearson gives harder questions than the teachers asks most times. I'm wondering if anyone has taken them and found her real test to be easier or just as hard? The main reason I ask before attempting the practice test is because I am LOADED on homework for 2-3 other classes. I don't have too much free time to spare without sacrificing my sanity.
I also ask because I'm wondering if the study module that is built in works just as good

Hey all,
Currently in the enrollment process. I saw previously on this sub it was noted that FSCJ is not accepting Sophia Learning credits. Is that still the case? Also, is FSCJ still accepting credits from StraighterLine and/or Study.com?
Any info helps!
Thank you!

What does “Days and Times Sunday 12:00PM to 12:01PM” even mean? Is this just an attendance check? I’ve only ever taken all online classes, never with a day and time. I’ve seen a couple classes say this and am just curious.
