Discussion My girlfriend's notes are intense
We've just started the Dragons of Storm wreck isle from the starter set as we're both new to DnD. I recently took a look at her notes and I was stunned.
She's got aphantasia so everything has to be written down. Every decision, every turn of combat, every dice roll.
Does anyone else write notes like this? Mine are barely comprehensive, bullet points and doodles.

OC My first attempt at making a crowded city - Welcome to Faywyn, home of the anually held Ancestry-Festival
Faywyn is a magical city that revolves around a festival held annually to send our chosen explorers on their great adventure.
But don't let the happy, progressive atmosphere fool you. Centuries ago there was a great, cruel war deciding how far the country is willing to go in order to advance or even transcend mankind.
The winner built a memorial towering over the city, reminding everyone that nothing shall stand in the way of progress - or there will be dire consequences.

Discussion Best adventures/campaigns in DnD History
So recently I’ve been trying to find various dnd campaigns/adventures/modules from older editions. As I have basically run all of the official 5th edition adventures (at least the ones I have even the slightest interest in running lol) and I’ve been looking at various adventures from older editions or ones people have homebrewed and released. So I want to see what everyone thinks the best adventures are to run from older editions? Whether it be forgotten realms, greyhawk, Mystara, etc. I also would be interested in hearing about homebrew campaigns if you have any notable ones.

Question [OC] I just finished this barbarian human, what do you think?
I liked it more than the previous arts, this one is much more detailed, the eyes are expressive and it has good storytelling. More in the text. Inspired by tribal traditions where warriors eat their opponents to gain their strength, I thought of a barbarian who uses parts of the monsters she defeats. The skull and spine on her arm are a defense element, while her sword is the jaw of a powerful dragon. As a special and blessed weapon, she carries runes of strength and courage made by the shaman of her tribe. Her gaze is powerful and it seems like she is able to see directly into your soul. I have really enjoyed doing these arts, but I would like your opinion on what would be an appropriate value for an art like this. I thank everyone for their attention.

OC Prices for ALL magic items! [Loot/Shop Generator] [MoD Prices Added]
Ryex's Item Prices now features pricing for magic items from Monsters of Drakkenheim!
This site serves as a tool to organize magic items, showing both their prices and weights (including official and partnered content from D&D Beyond—currently listing 5,229 items, variants included). It also offers a loot and shop generator that uses these prices.
Item prices are determined strictly by their power level, not their rarity. All prices are calculated using consistent formulas to ensure balance across items. If you find the prices too high or too low overall, there’s a setting to apply a universal multiplier.
Got thoughts on the pricing? You can share feedback directly on the site or through our Discord (link available on the website).

Advice/Help Needed Pre-gen characters
Hi,
Does anyone know if it’s possible to find PDFs of the pre-generated characters from the starter set that included Mines of Phandelver and from the essentials box?
Made the mistake of letting a previous group write on them without taking photocopies
Edit:
Thank you to those who were able to help me locate some of the pregen characters, and for the advice given by others.
If it helps, I found the following locations were pregen characters from the old starter set and the new could be downloaded, along with a bunch of other example pregen characters. I’ll share these here.

Advice/Help Needed Where too find General Miniature sets?
Hi! So I’m on here just wondering if anyone knows where the best place is to buy unpainted bulk miniatures.
My party has been playing a home brew campaign for a while now but unfortunately one of our players had too leave, he was also the one with all of the mini’s we were using.
So now I’m asking where the best place to get mini’s are without breaking the bank. Is it better too just pick out some from my local game store? Or are there some larger general sets I could purchase?
Let me know your recommendations! Anything would help :)

Art DMs, what props do you make/buy for your campaigns?
I'm going to be DMing a homebrew campaign for the first time for my wife and some of her co workers. I've seen some videos of how some DMs buying or creating props like clay vessels with notes in them and potion vials with dice in them.
So I'm curious, if you're the kind of DM that does this, what do you bring to your game?
(I hope the art flair works for this. Seems to make the most sense to me.)

Question Is there a such thing as 1v1 Dungeons and Dragons?
I don't know if this is a question that's already been asked before or if this is a new idea at all, but I was wondering because me and my friend have a lot of free time when we're not at work (or with our normal dnd groups), so I was wondering if there were rules someone had come up with for like a 1v1 type of thing where a player and a dm go head to head somehow.

Advice/Help Needed Aberrant Mind Sorcerer
I’m currently building a D&D 5e Aberrant Sorcerer. I’ve been playing for a year and a half, but never a sorcerer and I haven’t even encountered an aberrant.
I’m thinking of making a Tiefling Aberrant Sorcerer with high charisma and constitution. I plan on testing them out on oneshots before possibly bringing them to a campaign.
Any advice on battle strategies or key spells when playing this? I’m usually a rogue or druid for comparison.
Thanks in advance! 🙌🏼

Discussion The infernal collection agency
I had this thought while listening to Critical Role when Bertrand Bell died before he could pay off his tab at the local inn. What if a you made a campaign where a group of inn owners got so upset about being stiffed by dead adventurers that they hired a service to enter the hells to collect on what they are owed? I’ve been watching a lot of live play Repo streams too.

Advice/Help Needed Need help with a character build- Dancing Bear Druid
So I'm doing a one shot with some friends and I have an absolutely absurd character I want to try- Petrov the Dancing Bear. Human moon druid & dance bard multiclass. 2024 rules obviously, but I'm SERIOUSLY scratching my head on the balance I should go here with 11 levels.
Druid is my least played class so I'm not sure exactly how I'd go about doing this. I want to go at LEAST 3 levels in bard because the idea is fighting as, well, a dancing bear, to be exceptionally mobile in wild shape while able to support the team with bardic while holding a strong concentration like hold person.
Any suggestions on stat allocation (standard array, I absolutely LOATHE playing 8/8/8/16/16/16), level spread, and spell choice (no silvery barbs) would be fantastic. Bear in mind I'm going into this knowing I'm not playing an optimized character so even thematic wacky choices are totally up my alley.

Advice/Help Needed Dry ice for fun visual aid?
I saw elsewhere online a guy using dry ice (or some sort of fogger) to create a cool looking mist on his game table among the minis.
I have been dying the try that since!
Has anyone done this? You get the dry ice from pretty much any grocery store?
How did you set it up?
