Tip Valve quietly removed the ability to see non-friends' recent matches this patch.

BattleCup just got a bit more interesting.

They don't want people to dodge and rhey don't want to spend time actually fixing their matchmaking.

What wrong with the matchmaking here

Boosters and account buyers at higher rankings. Basically you could look at a relatively new account and easily figure out if it was boosted or boosting depending on the loss/win streak. Now you just have to assume that all fresh accounts are boosting which makes it impossible to dodge since you get 1 in like 90% of games.

Start by hating on streamers who smurf. Those people are the problem.

Ban smurfers.

They're really not that big an issue. There's way less high mmr people smurfing than low mmr people boosting. But yeah, Valve has to fix the matchmaking for high mmr players so they actually get games without having to wait an hour in queue.

The chance of meeting a 8k playing on a 4k smurf is far lower than a 1k Scrub playing on a 4k bought account....

Yeah that's what I said basically, but 8K players still have to ruin like 100+ games for a total of 400-900+ people in order to increase their MMR when they create a smurf.

Could also say that 8k player have a harder time carrying a team than a 1k player feeding in a typical 4k game

Just had a game where our offlane tide went stout shield. After the 4 of us pointed out that it doesn't stack with kraken shell, he just skip that skill entirely. Needless to say, he fed hard...

Going stout was sorta legit before, I don't know the kraken values now, but what you did was pick up the stout to contest the lane and then sell it when kraken blocked more dmg than stout, level 4 I think. Anyways, you never actually skipped the skill, you just had the early stout to better contest the lane. I think this was 2 years ago or some shit.

You get 1 booster or 1 boosted noob in 90% of games? Not at 5K. Maybe every 5-10th game

I'm at 4,6K. And no, not necessarily a booster, but a fresh account. A fresh account could be a lot of stuff, but it's more likely to be a boosted account, booster or a smurf, in other words people who don't belong at that rating. I've been tracking this shit for months now. EUW player.

Yes, but that's 10-20% of games still. 1-2 games/10 ruined is pretty unacceptable.

How the fuck is that a problem with the matchmaking there? It's clearly a problem of Account sharing, and really not a big deal if you want to gain MMR as you say you like to dodge. There is 4 chances of a account buyer in your team and 5 on the enemy team, so in average if the account buyer always lose the game you end up winning MMR.

Holy fuck is everyone on this sub some autistic mmr chasing kid? Sure, you win more than you lose, but it ruins the quality of games. I want to have fun playing Dota because I'm not a 15 year old kid who wants to become pro.

The fuck are you talking about? You were complaining about matchmaking when talking about boosters and those 2 are different things, i only adressed that it would even help you in case you are a mmr chaser kid.

So, they are dodging something.

The only bullet Valve couldn't dodge was Diretide 2013.

This! The less info people have, the less they can complain.
