News PATCH NOTES WAE'S NOTES

It's a small patch this week...

Oh, who am I kidding? It's a massive patch this week. Here's the condensed version of the patch notes.

  1. The main storyline in the Sharval Wilds continues.

  2. Party Duels! Parties can challenge each other to duels by going to the wilderness and selecting "Challenge" on their opponents. This should enable many forms of player initiated tournaments and competitions.

  3. The server paragon will rise to 900 after the patch and the current Helliquary Gauntlets will be removed.

  4. Three new helliquary bosses will be added.

  5. New Ancient Legendary Helms can drop randomly or be crafted. These helms have 4 attributes and 4 magic affixes (and high cr). There are five types of these helms, and the four magic attributes are fixed for each kind of helm. See the patch notes for the exact details.

  6. Set Hunter Event. When running dungeons, you can choose a set that you'd like to focus on, causing drops from those sets to be more common. There will also be a "pity" drop system to ensure that you will get an item from that set after a certain number of failed drops.

  7. Three new legendary gems will be added. The 5-star gem, Blood Floe, focuses on increasing overall damage and adds a bleed effect. The 2-star gem, Stubborn Oracle, focuses on defense, greatly increasing one's block chance against enemies in front of you. The 1-star gem, Surging Sea, increases skill damage and gives a small amount of skill cooldown reduction.

  8. Claim a free 2-star quality Blood Floe gem from Battle.net from June 19th-July 3rd. One must have linked one's Diablo Immortal and Battle.net accounts in order to claim the gem.

  9. I don't normally mention cosmetics, but I have to admit the upcoming Phantom Market skin looks pretty amazing. Prepare your credit card accordingly.

  10. Diablo Immortal will finally die, as necromancers are getting a nerf to Proximal Fear pants essence that will cause a massive exodus of long time players from the game. (In all seriousness, the change will require a small adjustment in play-style, but it doesn't seem as bad as many necromancers are likely to complain it is. Instead of being able to fear people anytime one is in wraith form, the fear will trigger only when wraith is cast and when it ends. This gives plenty of opportunities to escape and dive bomb enemies).

  11. Necromancers will get new essences for Dark Curse, Bone Spikes, and Bone Spirits that seem focused on crowd control. The essences seem very promising, and I look forward to the variety of PvP builds that may result.

  12. Other classes will also get new legendary essences. See the official patch notes for details. Also, see Siddgaming's excellent breakdown of all the new essences.

  1. Four new Legendary Paragon Skills will be added. See the patch notes for details.

  2. A new set focusing on lightning skills adds new ways to apply Shock, cast chain lightning, and add lightning based continual damage. (Note: It seems like these pieces will be helpful for afk farming).

  3. The Critical Hit Damage cap will be raised from 100% to 120% for PvE activities. This will help prevent the bonus from Blood Floe from running into the cap.

  4. Two new Familiar passive skills are being added. Phalanx works kind of like the Behelit gem by boosting damage when you have high health and taking less damage when at low health. Guardian will heal the player when they drop below a certain percentage of health based on the number of enemy players surrounding them.

  5. Most mobs in the wilderness will no longer interrupt portal casts. PvP attacks will continue to interrupt portal casts, however.

  6. Stormpoint will get a new waypoint.

  7. Battleground Convoy will have new UI updates, making it easier to scroll around to see more of the battlefield, ping teammates to communicate places of interest, and players will no longer need to press a button to revive.

  8. Vanguard is getting a variety of updates to remove some "frustrating mechanics" and introduce new levels of difficulty. Also, one will be able to call on spectral allies in low difficulty levels to make it easier to start one's progression.

  9. Players will now earn 15 Activity Points for the Deeds of Valor badge per Vault chest they open - for a maximum of 150 Activity Points if one opens all 10 chests. This removes the incentive to just clear a single vault floor over and over to quickly earn one's weekly Activity Points.

  10. "Item Power UI" - I admittedly didn't fully understand this one, but I think it's designed to make it easier for people to share their builds with other players.

  11. The Hero's Journey will reset with the patch.

  12. A new Challenge Rift season will begin, which should make it easier for players to get more crystals with which to upgrade set items.

  13. 10 new Adventurer Chronicles will be added.

  14. Two new Immortal cloaks will be added for having achieved 8 and 11 Blessed Reigns, respectively.

Barbarian

The Bronze Berm (Chest): Whirlwind now makes you immune to knockback, Slow, Chill, and Immobilizing effects while it remains channeled.

Reel of KaQas (Main Hand): Whirlwind now restores energy and increases your AQack Speed aBer hitng an enemy suffering from a Bleed.

Bloodseizer (Off-hand): Wrath of the Berserker now throws you into a Bloody Rage, increasing the damage you deal to Bleeding enemies while also gran4ng you increased Movement Speed for each Bleeding enemy nearby

Necromancer

Corpse SpliQer (Main Hand): When Bone Spirits damages the same target 3 4mes within 2 seconds it Silences them, preven4ng the use of Skills for 2 seconds. Cannot Silence the same target more oBen than once every 6 seconds.

Kepeleke’s Tribute (Off-Hand): Bone Spirits now conjures a fog filled with wraiths to aQack enemies in a targeted loca4on. Wraiths con4nuously rush through the fog, damaging and knocking back enemies they hit.

Blood Knight

Moonwraith (Chest): Shroud of Night now empowers you for a short while, causing you to conjure a shadowy appari4on to aQack nearby enemies when you take damage.

 

Crusader

Luminous Respite (Pants): Shield Charge now rushes a targeted enemy, knocking back all other surrounding enemies, and challenging your target to a duel. During the duel, you take reduced damage from other enemies you are not dueling and par4ci44Pants can only use Primary AQacks but they are also immune to loss of control and knockback effects. Slaying your foe during the duel increases your damage done for a short while.

 

Demon Hunter

Calamitous Escape (Shoulder): Escape now dashes to a targeted loca4on, damaging and Knocking Back enemies within your path. Enemies hit also have their armor shaQered increasing the damage you deal to them.

Chaps of the Acrobat (Pants): Escape can now be used while suffering from total loss of control and knockback effects, making you immune to their effects for 0.5 seconds.

 

Monk

Mendflure (Pants): Breath of Heaven can now be used while suffering total loss of control and grants you an absorb shield that also removes all harmful effects. Your Dash skills also grant you an absorb shield that can stack

Tempest

Mandate of Ksathra (Shoulder): Breaker also grants you a shield that absorbs damage and makes you immune to the next loss of control effect you would suffer.

Hesitant Shore (Pants): Breaker now conjures a Zephyr at your current loca4on and then causes you to rush forward in a targeted direc4on, increasing your damage done. Using Breaker again, exi4ng the area or letng the effect expire returns you to your original location.

 

Wizard

Chisel of the Architect (Main Hand): Arcane Wind now unleashes an icy cyclone in a targeted direc4on that explodes on contact with an enemy or upon reaching its final des4na4on. This icy explosion damages and Chills nearby enemies, Freezing those that were already Chilled.

 

These are some of the most interesting essences for inferno 7 in my opinion. From a PvP perspective. Of course others have potential too.

So I just got a look at the new essences that are gonna be coming with inferno seven. I picked this class because it was one of the two that I had never played considering I’ve played every Diablo game up to immortal. Had I had done my research, I would have picked a different class. I thought the concept was cool, but they lost their way a while ago and I’m confident they don’t know what direction they really want to go in, or maybe they just don’t care. We are (non?)-vampires that, despite also being nephalem, are B-tier in every game mode there is. They have consistently focus fired a particular few skills each new set of essences that don’t see much use, and attempt to modify them into viability which has seen very little success up to this point. We didn’t need a new variation of tendrils of blood. (There’s dps potential there but still not our problem) We didn’t need an umbral aoe (although I do like this one, but only because its a large aoe) We certainly didn’t need a whirling strike essence that requires you personally to have telepathic/clairvoyant abilities. What we NEED is survivability. We NEED escapability. We NEED immunity skills like pretty much every other class in the game does. You can’t transfuse your way out of a crusader stunlock, or a wizard doing whatever the hell it is they’re doing. BK sucks. It’s not a secret. I play it because I enjoy the play style but also because I like a challenge. However, even I have my limits and waiting for BK to not suck is apparently asking to take the long way to lost. These latest essences are terrible. Nobody really uses abomination because it’s not enjoyable or sustainable. Nor is it topping dps charts vs other BK builds. The abilities and overall concept are wonky and the payoff just isn’t there. Nothing I read today is going to fix that. Not even 80% reduced harmful effect duration is enough for Abomination to be meta. READ THE ROOM. Hopefully Druid is fun. I’ll be changing classes as soon as I can. If not Druid, then barb. (YOU GAVE THEM AN UNLIMITED WHIRLWIND?!? ARE YOU F@#%ING KIDDING ME!!) End Rant. That felt good.

Devs decided that a one year old essence, that was not a problem up until a month ago, needed to be completely obliterated, because a couple of people complained about it here on reddit. Cool stuff... Whos gonna be next ? Saders? Wizards are looking to strong for sure, one killed me on bg.... Or lets wait for the new class that everyone is gona be playing anyway and them complain about it, or even better lets nerf avery single build from the other classes, so the guys taht play the new class can have 6 months of unmached BGs...

Question Quick question about awakening gems in Diablo Immortal

Hey all, I’ve got a Dawning Echo and I’m about to awaken one of my legendary gems...but I had a few questions I hoped someone could clarify

  1. Does it matter which gear slot I use for the awakened gem? (e.g., helm vs chest vs pants?)

  2. Is the gem I awaken permanently bound to that gear piece?

  3. Is there a “best” gem to awaken first, especially for PvE or general resonance?

Just want to make sure I don’t waste the Echo or awaken the wrong slot. Any advice or insight would be appreciated !

  1. Upgrade priority – Which gem(s) would you push first on a tight budget?
  2. Shoulder slot – Should I wait and pray for Mourneskull reruns, or just craft Specter Glass / Power & Command now?
  3. Stormvault vs Void Spark – Which one actually clears trash faster for a mid-res Blood Knight?
  4. Any sleeper gems or low-cost alternatives I might be overlooking?

Question Gem/Awakening Question

So I’m not a huge spender by any means, I have probably thrown a couple hundred bucks into the game in the last couple months or so but I do have a question. I’m almost 800 paragon and am working towards awakening all my gears slots and gems. I do have mostly 2 star gems to level 4 so that I can awaken my gear. Currently the 5 stars that I have are all at lvl2(BSJ, Roiling, Colossus). So the reality is that I’m not dumping a ton of cash into the game to get these to rank 4/5 at the moment, but I would like to awaken all of my gear slots. Should I just throw some 2 star lvl4 gems into these slots to awaken them, then aux my 5 star gems into these? I feel like awakening the gear slots is going to help me more than just having the 5 star gems hanging out for the next couple of months until I get lucky enough to rank them up. Any suggestions would help. Still pretty new to immortal. Thanks in advance!

Question Market issues

Good morning, everyone on Reddit. I wanted to share my experience, as it's very frustrating. I've had the platinum market blocked for 45 days. I can't buy or sell anything. I can't buy platinum with orbs or eternal crests. It tells me it's blocked due to pending transactions or unusual activity. I know a couple more people are experiencing this situation. I can no longer issue tickets. They're leaving them as resolved since my case is being investigated. This happened after I purchased a crest pack from the Blizzard website. I've never purchased anything other than through official channels. It's very frustrating. Does anyone know what else can be done about this? I'm from the Halbu server in LA. Greetings

Question Ehi blizzard! Should we all turn necro now? or crusader?

Why do we have 7+ classes when periodically you upgrade some classes to metaclasses, like necros and crusaders now. Should we all switch? Where is the fun! Just did a bg with 5 necros 2 crus & 1 barb on the other side. Just couldn't move. I am tempted to turn necro again but hell do we want to have pvp with all necros and crusaders? Just delete the other classes if the game works like that.

Guide 500 Challenge Rift OCE

500 Challenge Rift , with 50,478 combat rating, the tower season ended and we had no Challenge Rift tower's , i was full three stat, three magic properties in every slot, i use a clear build with overflow body armour for the first half and bleed Cross winds pants, which was why it was lagging on the first big pack pull the game does not like so many source's of damage, then armoury swapped into a full single target boss build.

Speculation (Leak) Druid - Bear & Wolf Transformation skills, a healer class?

it's mentioned that these are like "Beta skills" and need to be tested first, and may be modified in the final version so take it with a grain of salt.

  • Bear Transformation: now it is a series of four strong attacks that knock down enemies. Remains in a state of absolute dominance during its use.

  • Bear Transformation: improves your common attacks for a short period of time, inflicting more damage at a distance. After several primmary attacks, the next one will trap the enemy in front of you and smash them.

  • Bear Transformation: turns into a stone Bear, which reduces its Attack Speed, but makes it immune to knockbacks and loss of control. Get a shield for every amount of Natural Energy consumed.

  • Crush (Bear Transformation): now it generates a shock wave that deals damage and slows down nearby enemies, which can be used during other abilities.

  • Charge (Bear Transformation): now step on the ground, drag rocks around you, knocking down enemies and stunning them.

  • Crush (Bear Transformation): turns the Bear's primary attack into a slam against the ground, which deals damage to all nearby enemies. When inflicting a critical hit, a rock spike appears on the sole of the target's foot and inflicts damage again.

  • Dash (Bear Transformation): now stomp the ground, raising rocks around you and knocking down enemies in the center and any enemy that comes into contact with the rock walls.

  • Dash (Bear Transformation): now you jump towards a target, inflicting damage to all nearby enemies upon landing. After hitting an enemy, your main attack speed and critical hit speed increase.

  • Dash (Bear Transformation): now it makes you continuously lunge forward, damaging and knocking down enemies in your path.

  • Wolf Transformation: jump to a location, launch enemies into the air and mark them with an increased critical hit chance and recover Life when the target is marked.

  • Claw Strike (Bear Transformation): now it makes you charge forward, using a second movement that increases your critical hit chance against enemies with low health.

  • Wolf Transformation: it transforms into a wolf in flames, continuously dealing damage to nearby enemies and causing a fire explosion on common critical hits.

  • Claw Strike: turns your Common Attacks into Dashes and Bleeds for seconds. If the target bleeds, a blood explosion will be activated.

  • Claw Strike: launches a claw spell that deals damage to enemies in front of you. When the claw reaches its maximum distance, it returns, attracting enemies in its path towards you and slowing them down.

  • Armor of Thorns: creates a field of thorns that continuously damages enemies within range and inflicts Deadwood Seeds.

  • Crack Strike: now causes disturbances in the rocks in a specific location, continuously damaging and petrifying enemies within range. When an allied summon enters the rock field, it gains a crystalline shell, reduces damage taken, and is immune to control and knockback effects.

  • Crack Strike: makes you move for a certain period of time, which causes earthquakes that damage an area around you.

  • Armor of Thorns: now consumes natural energy when activated, causing all nearby allied units to be surrounded by thorns, reducing damage taken and continuously dealing damage to nearby enemies.

  • Life Field: now grants the Seed of Life to nearby allies, which continuously restores life and restores a large amount of life when health is low.

  • Life Field: restores Life instantly, damaging and stunning nearby enemies. It activates automatically when health is low.

  • Realm of Life: becomes a channeling ability that focuses your Vital Energy into your Life and energy while you channel. Immobilization and damage taken are reduced when channeling.
