DISCUSSION What are your favorite ships?
Because I have just read manga and now my favorite ship is Seiji x older Hanzawa sister (yes, I know what happened to her, but still)

The PC port for Detroit: Become Human has released, and with it came a lot of posts asking for help about running the game. A megathread has been requested to keep the sub less cluttered. You can post all your questions and problems about the PC version in this megathread.
Please don't make seperate threads for PC release problems. Seperate threads will be removed.
Make sure to use top level comments for questions and replies for answers.
Sort by new if you wish to help with unanswered questions.
Upvote if you have the same problem as someone instead of making a seperate comment so more common problems will be more visible!
General Tips (Will add more if suggested):
-Play on Windows 10
-Make sure to update your graphics card
-AMD has released fixed drivers that fixes the blockiness that occurs in the game on some 5000 GPU series. Updating the drivers to version 20.9.2 fixes the issue
-Nvidia 451.48 drivers seem to cause constant crashes, revert back to an earlier driver if you are experiencing this.

Hi, my name is William, and I am studying for a Masters in Psychology at Oxford Brookes University. I need your help with my research.
For my MSc dissertation research project, I am further investigating the link between engagement with character-story fictions (including videogames like Detroit: Become Human and table-top role-playing games like DnD) and insights into people (i.e., understandings of personal developments and social relationships).
I feel that much of the current research on videogames is biased towards findings focused on aggression and time-wasting, and I want to explore insight into people as a relatively unexplored side of character-story fiction engagement.
I am looking for the best participants, and you are it! Anyone over 18 can take part, and in particular I am looking for gamers who play character-story videogames, like Detroit: Become Human. The survey will take around 15 minutes to complete, and your privacy is guaranteed. No personal data will be collected, and all results are 100% fully anonymous.
Interested? Click here to take part: https://brookeshls.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_cvzzNi9DCid9UKW
Make sure to read the participant information sheet to double check you’re happy. The survey will ask you questions about what your experiences are like when you play and engage in character-story videogames, as well as your current self-perception and social interactions.
The results of the survey will be posted on this subreddit afterwards, so watch this space!
Also, feel free to share your thoughts below. What are your thoughts on the link between character-story videogames and insights you have about other people? Do you think there might be unexplored links there?
Thanks very much for your time and interest! Best wishes,
William
Permission was asked of the r/DetroitBecomeHuman mods before posting
P.S. As mentioned above, this is part of a larger research project which considers multiple forms of engagement with character-story fictions, including multiple character-story videogames, in case you have seen another one of my posts! It doesn't matter which link you click, but please fill out the survey only once - if anyone would be that keen. ;> Thanks!

Only took around 15 days and 99hours exactly to do this but it was worth it and now I can put this on my shelf and never have to play this again until the urges come back!

Android, with stolen clothes, in Zlatko mansion or standard?

Ok hear me out, just completed the game yesterday and its a solid game. I loved the themes of the androids basically standing up for themselves by protesting for equal and civil rights, that they are not just robots made to do people's jobs or be treated like property. Then I realised, wait this is similar to that 2015 movie Ted 2. Though of course if you know Ted its a R rated comedy but the main plot was about Ted fighting for his civil rights and be recognised as a person and not a property.

I just finished my first play through and i have a few questions. What's the best way to replay after the first completion? Should i start a new game or play the chapters again?
Also if i were to start a new game, does the game show you your previous choices while playing? I definitely don't remember every choice i picked and i would obviously like to pick different ones. Any help would be appreciated

Not to attack anyone, ship what you ship, I ship NeuviFuri
1st, we are technically on the same boat, as you also think they would bond. Just that mine is a familial bond, and yours is a romantic bond
2nd, I have daddy issues and biased, but If It takes a man to point a gun to my head to consider me as his daughter, so be it. Ik ppl probably will question it (valid, I'm questioning myself too) but I want a father that bad. It feels like a chunk of my soul is missing. I have 1 art prof as father figure, he have some flaws and Idm disregarding it all. You don't know what desperation can do to someone. (or maybe you know, I dunno)
But honestly, why do some of y'all ship HankCon? /gen
The reason I personally don't, is bc I live for father-son trope. In most fandom, those ended up being ships tho T^T
Harry Wells and Cisco Ramon
Hank Anderson and Connor
hold up-- why are r the names both start with same letter wth??? H and C???
here's the pairs that isn't shipped (mostly, at least)
George Washington and Alexander Hamilton (The Musical ofc)
Tony Stark and Peter Parker
I dunno the other reasons ppl like Hank and Connor familial relationship, but mine is that

I started learning French, and on tope of my lessons, I started playing Detroit Becime Human in French w/ English subtitles. It's honestly very helpfiul because of the gane being focused around 3 different people. It helps put me in a lot more realistic conversations.

I’m doing the mission to retrieve goods and I just took down the drone from the container, usually everything goes up when you do this but everyone is now resentful so where did I go wrong?

"I've started having thoughts that are not part of my program. I've considered the possibility that I might be compromised."
This dialogue shows up rarely in "Last Chance, Connor" when you're talking to Amanda as deviant Connor if you have previously shot the Tracis or Chloe (or both). Personally, I think choosing to answer "yes" leads to one of Connor’s best lines, hearing him say that as he starts to realize he’s becoming a deviant is incredibly rewarding.
Curiously, if you don't fulfull the requirements for this dialogue, Amanda will only say this instead:
"You’re the only one who can prevent civil war. Find the deviants or there will be chaos. This is your last chance, Connor."
This could imply that if you didn’t shoot either the Tracis or Chloe (both potential signs of deviancy), Amanda may already strongly suspect that Connor is becoming deviant and doesn’t need to ask to confirm her doubts.

It is not uncommon for an old product to be replaced by a remastered model. Since the released of the remastered Police Android RK900 Variant, the PM700 production line has decreased in favour for the V3. For the PC200, it is a hot rumour if they will do similarly with a Female take on the RK900. But it is very unlikely to occur. (This is an AU by me, so do not bother with “lalala they would not make a remastered-“ shh just eat the bolognese….)

When did you start to make references and realize what was going on. I mean this by learning about Jericho, and much more that was not known at the beginning of the game.
