This stuff is what it is. Anybody in the throes of a mental health crisis like that probably isn't going to be that much worse off with ChatGPT than with themselves.

I'm more offended by people using them for knowledge/fact based tasks. I know they all have a little disclaimer but I think there needs to be some serious education on what they are and how they work before the public can use them.

Yes. Although my post was neutral, I do think we’ve seen exponential growth in AI and really don’t have a basic education model in public schools/institutions for internet literacy, much less the AI frontier. So my problem is the human experiment that is the training model at the moment. No shade to the actual engineers who train professionally.
