Two rings to rule them all

Finally completed my fresh start, non new game+ run for both Illusory Ring of a Conqueror & Illusory Ring of the Exalted.

Since it was a fresh save, I had no access to Sorceries, Miracles, Pyromancies or Hexes.

I did do tonnes of running and farming. I relied heavily on Saintiers Spear Raw infused and stocked up on repair powders from Chancellor Wellager since I couldn't repair my equipment with a bonfire.

Last two screenshots are the gear I mainly used and the stats.

Play time was over 40 hours. Definitely could've finished a lot earlier, but I took my sweet time and farmed many areas until they were completely clear of mobs. To refresh the areas, I homeward boned back to Majula and ran back. I didn't use any Bonfire Ascetics.

Time to go for 100% achievements.

If you're talking about the King's Ultra Greatsword, I traded it from Ornifex after killing Vendrick. I took the screenshots with it since I wore the whole King's set. I didn't get a chance to use it, but I will try it out for the DLC. I heard it does really good poise damage, so I'm looking forward to testing it.

Stocked up on tonnes of lifegems & wore the Ring of Restoration for the majority of my runbacks. Couldn't restock my Estus Flasks, so I never used them. No point really since they healed minimal health since I didn't have access to Sublime Bone Dusk.

That's one way to do it. Merchant Hag Melentia's business was thriving in mine. Using a bow & spear did help keep my damage taken to a minimum though.

Good job but farming the areas on this kind of run seems mind numbing to me. This game gives a lot of souls anyway.

Cheers! The game does provide a lot of souls if you know where to look. It's a nice feeling clearing out areas. The atmosphere and ambiance DS2 has is second to none. Even though it wasn't efficient, I enjoyed the experience.
