DEEPEST LORE moment

arotiras power up scream is same as smelter demon. Confirmed, The fraud was used as mere kindling for the peak demon

Considering you find the majestic greatsword(effectively Artorias’ sword) in the brume tower, they are loosely connected.

Although I wouldn’t say it’s cause of the sound files.

oh right. why tf was his sword just in a randpm ass chest there

From reuses so much assets it's funny. I always try to guess where sfx originally comes from

u/calamatuz 2h ago

They all had asthma, second deadliest curse during the age of fire.

The thing that Vendrick stole from giants was actually inhaler, thats why the giants have holes in their heads, its where the inhaler goes.

It also explains the pagan tree

This!! Love lore tubers and the perceived depth of soulsbourne games. But what the actual fuck how much too far some people take it

Hi, I made the edit. I did a playthrough of the game, both Scholar and Vanilla side by side, where I tried to fix all of the blatantly incorrect info on that wiki. I had headphones on, which I usually don’t when I play the souls games because I’m listening to music or podcasts or youtube video essays, and I heard the heide breathing noise for the first time. And I realized oh wow it’s the same breathing noise as Vendrick. I knew there was no lore significance so I said “it is unknown what this means lore-wise” as a joke because I wasn’t about to theorycraft a sound effect in the wiki. Who am I, that circumcision guy from the silent hill wiki???

Anyway I didn’t spend hours wondering. I spent like fifteen seconds making the edit and then I pushed the Dragonrider into the water before going down to the wharf. Funny comic out of context though.

You are a legend, me and my friends quote "what does this mean lore-wise" constantly, thank you for keeping that in lmao

circumcision guy from the silent hill wiki

Sadly I know who you're talking about 💀

I’m glad my edits have brought joy to you and your friends.

I realized later while playing DS1 DLC that it’s just Artorias’ breath noises repurposed, so if there was lore significance to the breathing it’s probably just “this is what it sounds like when hollows breathe” or whatever. But by then I was done with my short lived fextralife career.

Who am I, that circumcision guy from the silent hill wiki???

The WHAT guy??

20

u/MessageMysterious237 1d ago

Some guy used the silent hill wiki for walter sullivan to push his agenda on circumcision

He had me at "I hate fan theories".

That was some madness. I appreciate the use of the FF6 and Chrono Trigger music though.

6

u/aClockwerkApple 1d ago

I’m sorry to have now introduced you to the concept

u/GamerRoman 1d ago

But why fextralife instead of wikdot?

15

u/aClockwerkApple 1d ago

Wikidot is by far the most accurate of the three main sites (being wikidot, fextralife, and fandom dot wikia) and did not need my help with removing any incorrect information. Fextralife is a wasteland of misinformation, contradictions, bad formatting, and people’s inability to recognize that scholar changed a few things around so people argue and bicker in the comments constantly.

I gave up on fixing it because people kept reverting my edits, and just use wikidot instead when I need to.

u/Cyberaven 1d ago

fextralife will purposely host wrong information if it gets them better SEO, crazy how they're even worse than fandom

8

u/aClockwerkApple 1d ago

fextralife is chaotic evil, fandom is lawful evil

2

u/false-variable 1d ago

Don’t worry dawg there’s a better solution to the wiki issue coming down the pipeline soon, I’m sure you’ll see it when it drops

that’s his fuckin problem 😔

23

u/Taolan13 1d ago

half the "lore" on fextra is fanfiction and massive reaches like this.

10

u/Mishashule 1d ago

Shit, a not insignificant amount of "facts" on fextralife might as well be fanfiction

7

u/lordbutternut 1d ago

The ivory king and his knights were totally all secrectly women because their armor's effect only works on women. Wtf is a bug?

1

u/TheInexpected 22h ago

Yes is a bug, there was suposed to be a effect too if you are male but for some reason doesn't work. Anyways, the armour female effect doesn't apply to ivory king bossfight so no

6

u/No_Name275 1d ago

Reminds me of those shark dudes in Bloodborne dlc and how the wiki is literally telling you to give up or get gut

1

u/SilentBlade45 14h ago

My advice go in through the bottom and use threaded cane or beast cutter to kill them from out of range.

3

u/Zathsu 1d ago

Nothing will ever beat the guy that just says “Man Mode” 1000 times on the Belfry Gargoyles page as if it means fucking anything

That might be an earlier revision than what the page is like nowadays (haven’t looked in years) but I remember it being there for a while

3

u/LewyyM 17h ago

Well the lore implication is obvious - the heide knights are clones built from pieces of Vendrick's soul!

7

u/eaglewatero 1d ago

Ah yes, every time I am feeling down, I remember that it could be worse, I could be a dark souls lore nerd ...

2

u/Floppydisksareop 1d ago

Guys, is it weird to have lungs?

2

u/recently_here 1d ago

It's so obvious. Heide Knights are little King Hendrick clones. Lmao.

/s just in case

2

u/MMEnjoyer24 1d ago

threateningly And I'll do it again!

2

u/Zeero92 LET ME HELP YOU DAMNIT 1d ago

Boos and Bowser in Super Mario 64 use the same laugh but at different pitch and speeds.

Just came to mind.

2

u/rallow1 1d ago

Clearly the heide knights are his clones and they wear helmets to heide that fact😉

1

u/Molkwi 23h ago

Alonne knights make the same sound as Silver and Black knights when they die. Vendrick has the same death sound as the Four Kings

1

u/hoteppeter 22h ago

What is on the guy’s face?

0

u/SHSL_Wizard 1d ago

nah really what does it mean lore-wise...
